I spent my $100k on drugs. Haha can't manipulate me, capitalism!

Indeed... I got super lucky and picked something I knew I loved that would also be a great career choice (computer programming). I had loved it for years already, since 8th grade, and I still love it, and it's indeed a great field to have a career in. But so many of my friends (and my girlfriend) ended up with mostly worthless degrees (though for many jobs, a bachelor's degree of any kind is an entry requirement, so it's not fully worthless, but definitely not worth the massive debt, usually).

I really want to dive into full stack. I know I would love it and learn quickly, I already know 90% of front end.

My only hesitation is that I'm getting older and it might be hard to find a decent job when my competition is 15 years younger.

What do you think? I'm overthinking it right?

Yeah, just do it. My brother in law is a couple of years older than you. Last year he did a coding boot camp to learn and be certified in full stack programming (he didn't know much about any programming beforehand), I forget the place he used off the top of my head but it was an online organization. He got certified and pretty quickly found a job and now he makes almost as much as I do but does shit easy stuff compared to me (a member of a large team, he'll be responsible for, say, designing a couple of form controls in java to plug into an existing web app). Which I'm a little salty about but I am going to insist on a large pay increase once my current project is done or I walk, now that I'm doing full stack (I was not before), they'll do it.

I can find out what site he used for the boot camp if you want. It worked for him quite well. He works from home with his new job.
