images get fuzzy
as tears glisten in your eyes
life is getting dreary
or least you think so
everyone seems so happy
whilst things seem to
go awry for you all the time

work is overwhelming
time alone the same
you worry about money
about how bills can be paid
and your concern for others
wanting things to work for them
gives you even more pain

what i want to say i guess
is you're a great person
and never stop being you
i just wish i can be there
not to talk, but just be there
when i know a friendly presence
is all that's needed to assure you
that you're not alone
