Hey,
So as of the last month or two, my sleeping pattern has changed drastically. Dont get me wrong, I havnt really had a 10pm-7am or something similar sleeping pattern for years(consistently) anyway.
Basically, my job hours are when ever I choose, and I dont have many responsibilities as a person.
Ive really gotten into the habit of 36-48 hour days - 24-36hrs awake, 12hrs sleep, and repeat. Sleep time usually stays the same at around 12 hours give or take an hour depending on how loud the neighbours are that day.
Is this bad for me? I mean, I seem to be operating relatively fine.. I'm not depressed or have any kind of stress from these sleep patterns although I admit when I start getting to the 36-48+hr days, I am more inclined to get angry, quicker which as I am a pretty calm and relaxed person 99.9% of the time.. is definitely related to the sleep pattern. However thats just when I stay up for ridiculous periods of time exceeding 36hours.
Is there anything partically wrong, health(mental/physical) with doing 24-36/12hr days?
Im not going to say I operate 'better' but I dont feel like I am operating worse. And, it isnt hard for me to do this... its not a concerted effort, I just dont get tired very easily. Even though bed is nice and warm, its always more tempting for me to be doing other stuff. Sleep is so boring!
What do you guys think about this? I dont do any drugs besides smoke a lil bit of weed(once every day or 2? but have quit as of today/30 hours ago). Ill drink a few coffee's or whatever, but nothing in excess.. just something to drink with a cigarette while taking a shit sort of thing, hah.
