OC 80 question - are these pills BUNK?

Hey guys...

So I know a kid who acquired 10 OC 80S - the classic one with OC on one side and 80 on the other - pukeish green in color. He has done these on a regular basis and is very accustom to the incredible effects that they produce. HOWEVER, these particular 80s seem a little funny. The OC imprint (on one side) and the 80 imprint (on the other side) are not pointing in the same direction and are usually about perpindicular to each other although the direction they are pointing is not perfectly consistent. He realized after seeing this that he had not taken note of whether the imprints are always like this or whether he had gotten a funny batch.

Also, after seeing this he got paranoid and and started really observing closely whether everything about the pill was the way it should be. He began to think that the outside green coating scraped off a bit clumpier than usual and that it almost seemed like it could be scraped off in one piece. Also, it grinded up it slightly bigger pieces - little strands rather than tiny little pieces. Even the effects seemed dulled

All of this occurred days after he heard reports about most pills being changed so that they can't be abused (however his findings are not congruent with the FDA reports on the new unabusable pills). So he is very very skeptical.

But the one kicker is that he has taken OC 80 long enough that if they weren't real, he would be going through terrible withdrawal. So, is he 1) just paranoid and is experiencing a higher tolerance thus slightly less effects. 2) Has he stumbled upon a slightly bunk pill that has some oxy in it but certainly not 80mg worth. or 3) Taking fake pills but having such an incredible PLACEBO effect that he has managed to overcome all the pain of withdrawals?

if your questioning the legitamacy of the pill, and not being sick, then its not a placebo effect because you questioning it would've made the placebo effect dissappear if that were the case.

my guess is that its a real pill, and the imprint on that batch just might be messed up. but there is really no way for any of us to tell you without being there.

I remember the coating can 'peel' off almost in one piece.. sounds like the real thing to me.. If youre banging them and you get that taste at the back of the throat , you know theyre real.

not everyone gets that taste. I don't recall a taste. sometimes I can taste dope, and sometimes I can't. I think I can always taste cocaine. and I always taste the saline flush I get in the port in my chest.

I _always_ used to get it. Every single time i shot it, i could taste it a few seconds before I felt the hit.. loved it.
Same deal with everyone I used with.. interesting you didnt taste it.

I'm pretty sure I read in another thread that on real OCs the imprints on both sides almost never lined up with eachother as they are stamped randomly. the fake ones however always line up. there was a thread recently where someone had fake ones and they were being compared to real ones.
