O.K smarties, explain this to drunks...

Just for the record, I did complain to the "management" of this site about the jerk who think's he's Brad Pitt in his prime and somehow copied my posts over here and posted on another site (My Way Out.)

I mean it, that is very uncool and I have no idea how he knew I even had ever posted here, especially when I made so few posts to begin with.

O.K. Rant over. Not that any of you who responded have anything to be embarassed about.

Hi, I found this site looking for information about gabapentin. Then I started searching for information about medicine that I am currently taking. I've been on baclofen for almost 15 years, since spinal fusion surgery - What are the dangerous side effects that you are talking about? I'm kind of worried. Should I stop taking it? I know I can't just stop suddenly, my doctor said I would have withdrawal symptoms. It's the only thing that stops my back spasms. help please?

I got offered some balcofen once, I think, but didn't take it because I didn't see any benefits from it.

To swiftMD-- I was aiming more on the research of alcoholics taking the medication....I did a lot of research and for people who have been drinking for a long period of time would have more serious side effects due to complications.....blah

I just read all of the posts in this thread, and I find some of them confusing. Are we talking about the same drug baclofen? I take generic baclofen (40mg 3 times a day) to relieve back spasms. I don't take it for alcoholism. I don't even drink anymore, not for years. Could a history of heavy drinking cause me to have dangerous reactions now? Like what? Taking it doesn't make me feel drunk, that's for sure. Does anyone have an answer? thanks, smd

No it would not........You are fine...I don't know how it helps Alcoholics really.......I wrote in my posts exactly what I thought......An alcoholic with the chance of relapse and with any other problems like addictions....I see baclofen the same as i see suboxone.........sorry I am not going into to much detail I am just exhausted.....

When switching medications or stopping make sure you tamper very slowly so that you don't get the withdraw symptoms..........
