O-Desmethyltramadol, Camfetamine Combination

It has been mentioned that Camfetamine has some effect on opiod receptors, being paradoxically sedating in lower doses.

Firstly, can anyone comment on whether this is correct?

Is this combination an especially bad idea? I have an okay opiate tolerance 400mg+ codeine is good.

I understand that combining these kinds of high is dangerous, but has heard positive tales of monkeys experimenting with speed and morphine goofballs.

We don't use "SWIM" here at Bluelight, we know its you and it makes your posts hard to read. We don't condone administrating drugs to monkeys either. ;)

I don't know much about camfetamine, but provided its similar to regular amphetamine you should be okay provided you lower the dosages of both drugs when mixing them.

EDIT:

After digging a bit deeper, it appears there is a bit more danger to this mixture than I originally indicated. Both of these substances lower the seizure threshold, mixing the two of them together is dangerous and you should proceed with caution.

Thanks for the info. Supposing the o-desmethyltramadol was administered on the tail end of the camfetamine experience, would this minimize risk?

I'm hesitant to say it would "minimize" the risk but it would certainly reduce the risk. Your best bet (and safest bet) is to wait until the camfetamine has more or less completely worn off before you take the o-desmethyltramadol.

Is the suggested combination of chemicals wrong for a 'safer, legal speedball' and/or is it the concept that is wrong?

Speedballs are, by their nature, not really that safe, but since little is known about both these chemicals, I would say that combination is less safe than a traditional mixture of stimulants and opiates.

tramadol type opioids arent really the best thing to mix with. they work on serotonin also which can make things a little more complicated than straight opiates. stimulants of any kind are really a bad idea on tramadol or its cousins (or in the case, metabolites). i dont have any knowledge of camfetamine itself, though in the sake of harm reduction< mixing an opioid with some unique action elsewhere with a stimulant research chemical is a no-no.

Thanks to both of you for the information. I have decided not to try this combination however,

is there any way I can potentiate the stimulant effects of the o-desmethyltramadol?

Yea i've combined tramadol and adderall (d,l amp) but only with benzos on top of it and dosing spaced out over a few hours... It felt really sketchy tho - this feeling that my brain was swelling and about to pop... Few things scare me, but that did

Tramadol, among other things, is a potent NE reuptake inhibitor. Mixing it with stimulants is just asking for a seizure

If anything, i would only mix it with a benzo (clonazepam esp) with anti-convulsant effects so as to raise your seizure threshold.. since tramadol lowers it considerably.. adding a low dose of opiates is nice (hydrocodone, morphine etc) but i guess they don't stimulate everyone either

Tramadol is a strange drug. I find it knocks me out for a few days then starts to act like a stimulant/SNRI and keeps me awake forever

Be safe
