NYC for NYE!

Hey everyone, hope this is the right place to post this, but I just wanted to put it out there and maybe get some suggestions. My friend and I will be going into the city for new year's tonight, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap way to have a great time? I'm currently on methadone and I quit doing drugs (except beer/wine and cigs) but for this special occasion we'll each be dropping 2 tabs of blotter. I'm on the nonsensenyc mailing list but I'm not sure what would be the best thing to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated! thx
 
My father is a retired NYC Police Officer, he use to work in Manhattan and Brooklyn during his 23 years as a cop. He has a lot of stories to tell, and one of them is the many times he worked Time Square on NYE. Back in the day, West 42nd Street use to be all pimps and prostitutes, people would constantly get robbed and mugged. Times Square itself use to be a mess, tourists from out of town would come into the city expecting a good time, only to get their wallets stolen and people were getting beaten up for no reason at all.

Granted, times have changed. But the formula is still the same. First off, you have to get there in the morning. Which, judging from the time of this post, you're not going to get there till after 1, even if you left right now. Secondly, you don't have any seats, you find a spot and keep it. You gotta go to the bathroom? Tough shit, you move at all and you lose that spot. Then, after all the waiting in the cold for hours, you see the ball drop. Okay, now what? Everyone is rushing to the subways, rushing to the ferry, it's a mess!

I'm not trying to ruin your evening, but I really beg you to reconsider, especially since you plan on taking 2 tabs each, that will not be a fun experience at all.
 
I heard that they actually weld all the manhole covers down in time square for NYE..
 
I can't imagine going ANYWHERE on 2 tabs and having fun.. like a public place I mean. I fucking live in NYC and I wouldn't have fun walking around on the busiest day of the year tripping balls having to see cops everywhere. I could see having a good time during the day, in the nice sun, hitting up central park trippin balls or something. But your going to be out in the fuckin cold wet tripping have no idea where you are fuckin tourist wannabe style.

WTF you probably won't even make it through the door of a club when they see 2 dudes tripping out of their minds.
 
Actually NYC is an amazing place to trip, if you ask me. I once took a girl to the metropolitan, we both took 3 drops of the purest most clean liquid I ever had, tripped the hardest we ever tripped, then proceeded to walk around the city aimlessly for hours. It's a beautiful chaotic place to experience, but certainly not in this type of weather.

Not with that many people around either. Man I need space to move around when I trip, I would flip out if I was somewhere that crowded. I have had fun tripping in cities, I've never tripped in NY but quite a few times in Philly. Tonight that city's gonna be so full of people though it would seem very overwhelming to me at least
 
i wouldnt go to times square for that shit..too many people, being drunk on the street with no where to piss, not to mention standing in the cold for hours to see a ball ddrop for 10seconds..fuck that

It's actually miraculously beautiful out in the Tri state area for December.

Also, I've tripped on LSD in NYC a few times and I always found it easy to blend into the crowd and look as though you're any average pedestrian with something on his mind. Though, I wouldn't do it for New Years Eve, it would probably feel too swarming.
 
coel where has lacey or chainsawr been at? have you talked to any of them recently?

i know lacey is a mom now so its understandable but what about chain?
 
We exchange texts every few months and make it seem to each other as if we'll meet up and then never do. I miss his guts though, especially around BL.
 
yeah me too..but hes doing alrite though atleast?

and hear anyting about lacey or is it just about her son nowadays?
 
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've actually seen both of them around the board in the past week. Unfortunately just not as much.
 
Getting this thread back on track, I hope the OP had a good time. It was actually pretty nice in NYC this week, perhaps they had a good time, I hope so!

Funny, was actually in NYC last night on a head full of 2 doses of liquid for Infected Mushroom and all I can say is the shit was chaos and I will never be in NYC for NYE ever again. Since a lot of the streets were closed by the venue it was chaos and crowded, so at times was a little too much. Infected shredded and melted face, so that made it worth it. Hope yall had a good new yrs
