Almonds are the best for protein, they contain high amounts of high quality protein.

macademias have high amounts of beneficial oils.

Fuck Chuck! You beat me to it! LOL damn... well... Victor that's quite a nice informative list there, I trust you made it yourself since you didn't cite a source. ;-P

But..... I do have once question:

Where's the chin nuts?

Nah, I had that list on file for my own references, not sure where I got that info from. Doesn't matter to me, I'm allergic to 90% of nuts anyway. :( I can only do peanuts and pistachios. Don't plan on trying any "chin nuts". lol

If I were a mod just for one day, I would move this topic from 'steroid discussion' to 'healthy living'.

And tomatoes are a fruit, not a vegetable.
For nutritional and culinary purposes, it is sensible to group peanuts with nuts-proper.

lots of good fats you probably aren't getting otherwise.

I's say peanuts are probably the worst nuts nutritionally, but surely the cheapest.

Having the linguistic conversation about nut family is not really necessary. When people ask which nuts are the best they probably mean all the nut looking entities, whatever family man has decided to put them.

pine nuts and their oil provided the natives with a rich array of essential vitamins, nutrients, and microelements such as vitamins E, B1, B2 and B3, beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A) and other carotenoids, essential amino acids, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, and iodine.

Nuts aren't in season at the moment. No nuts around here. If nuts were in season, I wonder what nationality they would be? Doesn't matter...no nuts here.

Walnuts are the best, they're high in omega-3 fatty acids.
Peanuts have a lot of choline.

I have heard Almonds are really good for you but I enjoy munching on Cashews or the peanuts that are like glazed with honey stuff.
