Hi guys,

What I am about to write is a overview experience, and then a question, May you PLEASE read through it and give some insight, Please Thank you. I would be greatly honored to award all helpers, and as you can read more about it Below, Thank You.

About 5 months ago I took 3-5 nutmeg seeds (balls), I then went to bed, I woke up with a ; rapid heart beat ; extremely dizzy ; body pain ; unable to function ; feeling like I wanted to die ; I could not do anything ; All I could do is stay in my bed and try to sleep ->>> I drank water and only water, I staid in bed for the 3 days.

Anyway, I am starting to remember it. It is making me feel extremely sick:
  • my head feels like its all blocked up at certain parts.
  • the more I think about it and dig deeper the more I feel that blockage, etc.
  • it feels like a block in my brain. and its stooping me from functioning. even writing and thinking correctly/clearly , and other things.
  • Body Temperature going up, weird feelings, etc.

It is similar to when I firstly tried Nicotine 4mg gum (never smoked/tried it before), instead of using it correctly I did not know I just kept chewing it very fast. It made me feel so violently ill, I had to go out and lay in the grass in the sun and put my head down in the grass. It was awful. Worse than any Stimulant comedown, worse than anything.

Now: It is like being very very sick. Think of when you had the worse flu/sickness, and when you reach that point your unable to move, think, etc. All that stuff, its a lot like that. Its very strange.

Now, May I discuss here please:
In the brain --->> What's happening?. What receptors?, and what neurotransmitters, etc.. All this stuff. It greatly interests me, and IT WOULD BE of great help if you could give any information, I appreciate every bit of information , Please, any input what so ever. Thank you.

Again, I even said took instead of ate because even writing certain words and remembering it, and now it brings back this AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL Violently ill sickness experience, as I write this I feel extremely sick just remembering how the nutmeg effected me for the 3 days. Its very very strange. I even found I had to switch listing to the music I was listing to. Loads of things can effect it and make that awful sick blocked feeling. Like, I had to change the music to this electronic and try to dance and move around in my chair DISTRACTING that part of the brain/myself to STOP that remembering that feeling, OR IS that even, the nicotine or some receptors have changed from that nutmeg experience, or what is it?.

Everything APPRECIATED :
- Receptors, Neurotransmitters.
- Brain Areas.
- Anything, anything related to what I posted above.

Please. I would greatly appreciate it, and would be happy to award you too.

Thank You.

Sounds like an average nutmeg "trip"

Nutmeg contains precursors to several of Shulgin's "essential amphetamines" but itself acts quite differently and puts a heavy load on your liver for metabolism.

To my knowledge the activity of nutmeg is still unknown, though myrcistin (sp??) has been identified as the clear active constituent.

Almost sounds like an anticholergenic experience, that or a stroke. Go to the ER now if confusion is still persistent

There's absolutely no reason to go scaring him saying something like that. A person having a stroke doesn't describe such symptoms. The effects of the trip are absolutely typical of nutmeg. Period. Nutmeg is universally described as a terrifying experience. There has been some talk about the whole "oilhuasca" thing and what might be going on with these essential oils, but beyond some conjecture that might very well be a scam by someone trying to sell essential oils (which I'm not going to debate here), we really have no idea how myricistin doing it's job, or even if it's the sole psychoactive constituent of whole nutmeg.

TreeLight, I think I can identify what is happening to you. This is an anxiety attack. This very same thing happened to a cousin of mine this summer after his first bad trip ever, which happened to be on 25C-NBOMe. After a particularly tough experience, its quite common for there to be triggers that bring back the negative feelings and provoke a panic reaction. If it's particularly bad, it could be that you have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from this traumatic experience that you lived through. Try to think about what happened during this experience objectively, and to try and draw something positive from the negatives. A lot of people can also find relief with meditation and breathing exercises. If these things cannot help, and these feelings become unmanageable, you can use anxiolytic drugs such as benzodiazepines to help with the anxiety, but you shouldn't turn to these unless you have absolutely no other choice, since they are extremely addictive and have a withdrawal syndrome that is just about the worse thing you can ever hope to experience.

Ultimately though, the best thing you can do is to not lose hope. There is no blockage in your brain, and you will get better, just continue to be positive and never stop believing that things will get better! We at Bluelight are all here to help, so if you have any questions, comments, or just need someone friendly to have a chat, you know where to look!

Occam's razor suggests: you have the flu or some other illness.

The effects of drugs do not magically return after several months... but the memory of the event does, and you can still make associations based on that. The simplest explanation is you are getting sick; the fact that most nutmeg trips resemble having the flu is probably why you are concerned....

The active agents in nutmeg are likely myrsticin and other propenylbenzenes; they are not metabolized to amphetamines as commonly rumored, but instead have weak activity as anticholinergics and serotonin agonists. In general they should not be toxic.

I do not know anything about the pharmacology of nutmeg, but I can tell you from experience that the kind of nutmeg you use is very important. Fresh "balls" made me sick but french nutmeg powder made me extremely euphoric, not sick at all.
It's been almost a year since I tried it, and I still get disgusted whenever I smell nutmeg (because my last trip on it was awful)
But I'm sure the effects are not actually coming back in your case. It's just memories.
