Nutmeg - 4th time - My enjoyable experiences with nutmeg

Let's not forget nutmeg (mysticirin) is a known carcinogen (taken in recreational amounts).

14 years old. Swallowed down a whole bottle of nutmeg from mum's spice drawer. Cue hours of puking into, at first, kitchen sink, and later, kitchen floor.

Mum comes home to find me passed out on kitchen floor, lying in sick and, rather mysteriously, having removed all of my clothes.

The shame.

I don't want to sound harsh but that's some funny shit, I can just imagine coming home one day to find my (unborn) child sparwled naked on the floor amidst their own vomit, That would be hilarious.

Nice Report, doesn't sound to appealing to me, I'd rather just smoke some weed or do some oxys but DexterMeths's method seem atractive.

I think the largest dose was around 4 or 5 heaped spoons. I remember I kind of forgot about voting the next day...Had nutmeg that night and woke up the next day even more "stoned" than the night before. Had to walk to voting office. Footpath was on only a slight bit of a slope or angle anyway walking down it it looked like the whole world tilted on an angle like 60 degrees or 45 degrees and wierd perception like I felt I might fall off it if I wasn't careful. I definately felt a bit wierd at times. Like when I went into the voting office and had to talk to people. I felt a little wierd like in the past when I smoked up and had to face a straight edge person. I realised my vision was pretty bad. I couldn't see faces clearly unless quite close. Other than that the rest was just a lot of pretty heavy exhaustion, long sleeping and the moderadly nausious feeling for a day or so.

There is obviously a "stoning" effect and some perceptial distortions as even a drunk person might get... but my questions is where's the psychedellic effects? Like where's the insights? Or "triping" feeling where your thoughts seem to go somewhere on there own? Or visuals... where are they? I get visuals and auditary halucinations quite often from a little weed and quite often nice closed eye visuals and good insights with MDMA... both of these are considered only mildly psychedelic substances. So I don't need tell you that with the other strong psychedellics I def know I'm trippin. Yet I've got nothing psychedellic from nutmeg... I don't understand how people can say it is.

More information regarding its toxicity:

Nutmeg can lead to death.
"Acute Toxicity. Ingestion of five or more grams of nutmeg causes acute nutmeg poisoning, which includes giddiness, hallucinations, and feelings of depersonalization. Symptoms usually appear three to six hours after ingestion of 1-3 whole nutmegs or 5-15 gm of the grated spice. Recovery usually occurs within 24 hours. Nevertheless, duration of action may extend beyond several days and even include death."

(Painter et al., 1971; Green, 1959.)

Myristcin can cause organ damage, liver, and brain lesions.
"Acutely toxic doses of myristicin can cause organ damage. Cats were especially sensitive to myristicin, exhibiting central excitation followed by coma. Oral administration of myristicin at 400 mg/kg to cats caused fatty degeneration of the liver. Rabbits and guinea pigs administered a subcutaneous (sc) dose of myristicin developed brain and liver lesions and metabolic derangement."

(NLM, 1997).

Safrole is a known mild hepatocarcinogen. Although
safrole itself is not carcinogenic, it is metabolized to form
1'-hydroxysafrole which is carcinogenic. Data are not
available on the carcinogenicity of nutmeg itself.
