And yeah, I would say meetings are different on the outside. On the inside, everyone is just getting clean, so it's almost more depressing I think. Outside, you have so many people with decades of sobriety, it can be inspiring tbh.

But you aren't missing anything if you don't really want to get clean.

I heard that,girl!!! When I was 24 I went by choice and I got exactly what I needed. I went to NA mostly but I hear AA is less hype-more spiritual(not religious,bc I am quite ANTI religion). But yeah,the time I was there did me a wealth of good. It's hard to get clean w/o support-impossible almost. Good for you KC. "keep coming back" ;)

Now I am a non drinker-well maybe 4 big celebrations a year I will have 3 bears or drinks but that is the limit-and I have been doing this for about 3 years now. The philosophy works in all areas of life. For instance I can get addicted to ANYTHING-not necessarily drugs. My shrink of 10 years and I still work the steps from time to time(especially the 4th step-that is a kicker-but good for cleansing the heart,mind and soul)

stupid question....I blame it on the generation gap between me and most of you. I am not computer savvy at all.

Is there a way to post pics on BL without the use of Imageshack or Photoshop?
when I was debating over which shot to post in SO's photography contest "erotica" I uploaded several photos to email some BL friends to get their opinion. but before I could email them all,Imageshack removed my pics due to breech of contract. And these were artistic (still very erotic ;) ) photos. just to toot my on horn I won the contest,but it wasn't the photo I REALLY wanted to post b/c that photo was deleted. Any thoughts,suggestions,answers.

word...I read that you had no champagne fiascoes the other night. Is it hard for you to serve and not drink? back when I joined NA and got clean-TOTALLY, I stayed at my bartending job for 3 months w/o so much as a sip. I slammed Perrier bottles bc it was cold,carbonated and in a bottle. It was the closest I could replicate beer. Eventually it wore me down and I quit. $1000/week job gone-so I could stay the fuck away from alcohol. I was chemically detoxed due to 8 years as a severe alcoholic. I cldn't go don that road again,although II travel several narcotic roads today-I avoid alcohol the most. those 4 times a year I indulge lightly,but that is it. I am just one of those ppl who can't handle the booze. sucks,bc I love it. but I hate myself when I am drinking. ok-long enough...sorry:\
