Uhhh when there's no smoke in the chamber after you hit then you cleared it......but if you don't clear it after your first hit, try finishing it up the second hit. (good manners)

When the bong is filled with smoke you then remove the slide and inhale until all the smoke is gone then you precede to continue inhaling to mix air with the smoke in your lungs young grasshoppa. Refering to the well know technique made popular by Snoop Dogg.

if it has a slide take out the bowl only and blow into the bong and you will see smoke come out. after that you pretty much cleared it. duno if its been said already too lazy to read right now lol.

Or take smaller hits.

Not huge monster ones, just kiss the flame to the herb especially if it's green and you get the first hit.

Also try sucking the hit down and if you need more fresh air inhale through your nose.

lol yeah, what I actually tend to do is exhale through my nose once the bong is filled up (before I've actually inhaled too much) and then pull the slide and take it all at once. the aforementioned "second hit" style is also fine and socially acceptable (assuming you don't light the damn thing again!) although I have no problem taking hits other people can't finish, more high for me :D
