NPS Act V1. Blankets? Just Say No!

Sorry to burst your bubble but the actual pharmacist could not give a flying rodent scrotum, they're a business like any other. The limitations are not imposed by on-site, rather by pandering political party pressure and idiotic scaremongering and oh baby Jeebuz someone think of the children!.
The licencee needs to retain their reputation, their job and their career - bridging the gap between local neighbourhood pharmacist and dirty scummy drug dealer is a rather large spanner....

I got my response from the SDLP MP I wrote to, I got a response with quotes (verbatim) such as:
"Over the last number of years, legal highs have been an ongoing problem in our society. It ia our responsibility as politicians to do everything possible to limit and restrict the availability of these substances and educate those who may come into contact with them to be aware of the significant dangers they present"8)
He goes on to say that the ACMD has said that one new drug is invented every week (like it's a bad thing, these evil drugs may have medical significance) "Statistics also show us that drug-related deaths have increased from 102 in 2011 to 115 in 2013" Wow a whopping 10 Alisdair! Has this maybe been consistent with an increase of birth rates in the eighties and ninties? Guess not being to understand statistics must be on the parliament entrance exam. Sure I even applied to be a police officer but failed the interview because I showed up on time in the correct building.
After this he waffles on about how banning drugs have a time lag despite the potentially fatal effects so banning everything is a good thing.
"It is crucial that we can quickly pursue the most appropriate legislation to control these substances" Shows how much our MPs understand. If you are in London or close to London a protest sans nitrous should be done, faffing around with nitrous was shooting the legal highs community in the foot considering the level of ignorance displayed by elected ministers.
He goes on to talk about how they have used an "innovative and imaginative plan in Belfast and Omagh leading to head shop forfeitsure orders; though personally the headshops are still 'working as intended' the only one that was closed down seemed to be a money laundering front because he let nobody buy from his shop even if you walked in passport in hand, the whole shopping mall where he was based has since closed. All the other headshops still sell legal highs.
The letter ends with some more waffling and then:
"We will monitor the legislative changes within the UK and assess their viability, we are always open to new legislative pathways and ideas for reform"

I re-addressed him with this which I'll now post up as an open letter to Alisdair McDonnell (I remember the talks on going to war with syria and when called up to say his oppinion he literally got caught snoozing and just said a bunch of words that were completely unfitting to the question) and the rest of parliament in general:

I wish I jnew how to putnletter in the quote but can't on iPhone n please bare with me

As I said Preciously good on you for writing this. The onky bit I am concerned with is when you refer to the number of deaths as "only 129" Infell that every death is is sad m some shows failure in that each person who has died has friends n family who suffer as a consequence. I will write this out better tomorrow but have just somehow managed to delete a massive post I wrote out so will finish this tomorrow).

Thanks - will remember thar next time just basically went on about how it could be argued that by not allowing dosing info wtc is where the danger n not havibg access to list of chenicals for p to check if they're allergic. I felt that this may have been a stronger argument than comparing numbers of deaths as one death is one too many. And also vomparing death figure to those whi took legal substances like alcohol n fags in that there a few confound variables. Higher stigma for RCs, they're less lnown. More availability n social-acceptability towards fags n alcohol. They're often used as the social drugs to celebrate ebents n can be bought in practically mose stores. Fags n alcohol use is often encourages in public. Most people use RCs in private

Exactly who's bubble are you thinking you're bursting here sprout cos it's definitely not mine. I couldn't give a flying fuck. My point was that as a deterent (for either codeine or APAP over-purchase) the 32 pack rule is pretty weak as it assumes someone intent on either getting high (or more likelt staving off wds)or taking an APAP overdose is gonna let this rule stop them.

Also a lot of pharmacists DO give a fuck about the health of their patients and I've known ones whI were more caring that 95%of doctors, nurse's, paras etc.....

Of course it comes down to business but wouldn't simply asking for I'd to keep a track on monthly purchases be better?!

UK Blanket Ban Delayed - but by how long? [2 comments]
Thursday, 17 March 2016 11:11:42 Europe/London

For the last week there have been rumours on Twitter that the UK's Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 will not commence on the 6th April, and whilst there is still no public announcement on the Home Office website, I feel that I have enough information to make the call - there is going to be a delay but we don't know how long for.

The BBC's Home Editor, Mark Easton, has said on twitter that he had to "wheedle" the information out of the Home Office and there is a delay of at least a month, and 3 weeks notice will be given to Parliament of it commencing.

Additionally, a source in local government sent us this copy/paste extract from a communication they received from the Home Office:

"We expect to commence the Psychoactive Substances Act in the spring, subject to work with partners including the devolved administrations. We need to ensure the readiness of all the activity necessary to enable the smooth implementation of the legislation and to support law enforcement in their ability to drive forward the legislation on commencement.

While 6 April was the first date on which the legislation could be commenced, it has always been subject to consideration of all the activity necessary across the UK for the provisions to come into force.

We are looking to give 21 days’ notice of the commencement date which is when Parliament will also be informed."

I have also been told by other well placed contacts that a delay of at least a month is on the cards. And I've heard from one other source that it could be delayed until maybe even October, but I would not put too much hope on that at this stage.

Where did that come from..? edit never mind, found it.

Slow down a bit there, big guy. Your bubble is one similar to my own, I fear I may have been a lil' blunt in my delivery.
I blame the 54 hours in 3 days spent working to breaking point, that or the drugs... ;)

Wnste did you fknd it?

Evey

if I translate effectively, I found it someplace I cannot link to coz it's a no-no :) Big, well known, been around for fucking ages. You can buy research chemicals from them, quite fine ones by all accounts.

I've said too much...

While public declaration is political seppuku, the simple notion of a handful of vendor big boys simultaneously restocking 1kg+ items including 4F-MPD and 3-FPM at 6:30am may hint at a slight bump in the road... ;)

According to Anti-NPS Charity "The Angelus Foundation" the Home Office has informed them of the delay. I wrote to them sending a link to the statement about & received this in response.

Thank you. The Home Office has informed us and we soon look forward to the passing of the bill. Have a good weekend. Many thanks - Emily

They're good people, and the site is a tremendous harm reduction resource for parents; not just with regard to 'legal highs', but banned substances and alcohol too. Here's a snippet from their site:
The Angelus Foundation was founded in 2009 by Maryon Stewart, the well-known health practitioner, author and broadcaster. Her 21 year-old daughter Hester (pictured), a medical student and athlete, passed away after consuming a legal high (GBL) in April 2009.The Foundation has since attracted a group of world-class experts, known as the Angelus Advisory Group. This Advisory Group brings together expertise from chemical, medical and behavioural sciences, as well as having considerable expertise in both the areas of enforcement and misuse of social substances.

Come at me m8, al dek u, swer on me mam!

(Please don't, it wouldn't surprise me to learn one of your legs weighed as much as I! ;) )

Just been thinking about the actual progression of such legislation - if all drugs are illegal by default what the fuck happens to the Class system and its impact on sentencing?
Would <5g Dimethocaine carry the standard 18 month imprisonment applied to Cocaine itself?
Would the >3 years for a half ounce of Amphet apply equally to such a quantity of NM-2AI?
Could one expect 4 years at Her Majesty's pleasure for a couple of keys of a 5F-AKB48 blend even if it is at 0.00001% akin to Cannabis supply?

I've always had aspirations of getting paramol and magicking the DHC into DHM (though synthesis discussion isn't allowed so I won't go into detail)

As for kiked themselves evey? Was that a typo? I've always known kike as a derogatory word for a jewish person as they drew circles instead of crosses on their American immigration forms, hence the Yiddish term kikel (circle)

Hopefully they'll delay it and then back out of it because it's stupid times a thousand. Fingers crossed otherwise I cant go to thorpe park when I visit my aunt in England for fear of getting a endorphin (which is twenty times more potent than Heroin rush from the rides. Guess I cant go running (though my knee's fucked due to a blind fucker in a seven seater running me over) as I might get runners high under this bill, I do cycle though and flying down hills overtaking cars gives me quite the rush, I wonder if bicycles will be made illegal; I've heard of very nasty deaths on them and they're rather large unlike a bag of smack, ket or a sheet of acid so it would be easy for the police to identify and arrest offenders.

Speaking of offenders I was assaulted again yesterday (someone cumbucket chav threw a boot into my 800 quid DSLM 50 yards away from a pair of police officers who when told of the crime and that the offenders were still in visual range I was told that it wasn't their problem, I then dialed 999 and "we'll be right there" means "we'll phone you back in an hour and a half", one officer explained it well though and since I had mugshots of all of the wee group of chavs which is now printed out on nice silky photo paper (since he booted the camera I actually hit the shutter button as he kicked me so I have him in the actus reus photographically) and a CD so they can run it through facial recog. At my appointment on tuesday I'll be making a complaint about the two officers who refused to do their job, inform the officers that I now have anxiety due to it and will be wearing sap gloves (legal and not an offensive weapon IIRC; essentally gloves filled with powdered lead at the knuckles) as the police wont do anything so I'll simply have to take matters into my own hands and make a citizens arrest after breaking a few bones (that happened when I put him on the ground and waited for an officer to pick him up due to his struggling.
If they do find out who it is I'll love to see him (or maybe his parents as he was one of the midget chavs who needs three other people to back them up) squirm when I call out damages due to anxiety, PTSD and damage to an £800 camera which should be docked from their wages or benefits as well as a nice wee bit of community service for him probably in the hundreds of hours where he'll have to be up at 7 o'clock sharp, bunged into a tiny car with four other people and a minder and made to do the shittest of shit work that people wouldn't even get paid for, if you're lucky you'll get to sit in a church doing nothing for eight hours, if you're unlucky you'll be washing seats in stadiums in the pissing rain.

Edit:
To address ijustcanthelpmyself lobotomies are performed without anaesthesia. Icepick through the eye socket, jiggle it about, prescription; dark glasses to hide the black eye you get from the procedure. Most brain surgery is performed whilst concious so they know where to cut (they usually use gamma knife for lobotimies or hemispherectomies now though (yeah you can function fairly normally with literally only half a brain, then there was that guy from the 1900s who had a steel pole go through his cheek and out through his skull; his attitude changed a bit but he survived and was fine) usually for brain surgery they hold up flash cards of pictures of horses, houses and stuff to make sure they aren't damaging your visual or cerebral cortex while inserting electrodes or whatever they're doing, you have the top of your skull cut off and your head put in clamps so you don't move suring the surgery. I'm sure they use local anaesthesia but it can't be comfortable knowing your brain is literally sitting out in the open and the top of your skull in a pan behind you, your brain itself has no pain receptors, hence the flash cards that you have to identify or say the lyrics to a song. Brain surgery is fucking crazy. After the procedure they just put your skull back on like a cap and staple the skin; the bone fully heals in about three to six weeks.

I wonder what they'll do about poppies as I got really high off the decorative ones after putting them in a blender and making tea from them. One time I was so banjaxed I went home, went to bed and woke up on the fucking toilet at 5am with no idea why I was there. They are used decoratively though so I reckon they'll make it through this silly little ban too. One site sells them for about £25/kg for the heads alone, I bought off them fortnightly for two years, no questions asked.
