Okay so I have had a prescription for Dexedrine for more than a year. Whether I abused it or not depends on your definition of abuse. I never took large quantities at once but I would take small quantities over many hours and pull a lot of all nighters. I did this allegedly to get work done but of course I would spend a lot of time doing other things and enjoying it so I guess I sorta of did abuse it.
Anyway, this isn't about abuse really, I just wanted to give background. A few weeks ago I stopped my prescription because I was worried about my compulsive and obsessive behavior on amphetamines. Also my thoughts would get strange, I would have these flashes of nonsense connection and things like that. Now I'm sure that's normal for amphetamines, I know it's normal. But the thing is I got some more Dexedrine because I'm worried about getting stuff done for school, particularly an exam. That probably sounds stupid, I'm really trying to get rid of it. I started on Wellbutrin which I hope will work on a range of symptoms I was taking Dexedrine for.
So anyway, my actual point I'm trying to make is that I started on the Dexedrine again and have been taking much lower doses and making sure to take the doses early enough so that I don't have to stay up. Today I took just 20mg and I'm having issues.
I feel like I'm sorta going just a bit crazy even off that low a dose. There's just a lot going on my head that doesn't make any sense if that makes sense, haha. So my question is: is it normal to feel a little insane from low doses of amphetamine?
