I kept looking behind me for answers.
I have to say that nothing was back there but the past. Just things I couldn't change or fix no matter how badly I wanted to. The rough, bumpy road, that lead from the past to the future, stretched out so far in the distance that I could not see the end. This, I have to tell you, was frightening.
Luckily, I realized something...
The only thing that matters is now!
Enjoy the moment that you are in, because you may never have another one like it!
Don't let your mind talk you out of a great "now" by worrying about the past or the future! Happiness is that simple.

this post has been so upish till me so to start with i appologise for putting a downer on it. I'm living in the present now and i'm alert to every moment of it....unfortunately they are currently filled with depression, lingering grief and sorrow. Though i live in the now....i need to dream of the future cause without that....the now would seem worthless and not worth bothering over. So i have to dissagree with you there.....the past can haunt you and by hiding from it i'm still hurting. And the future....that's where my hope lies. cause in the now lies only a dead end
