Benzos Not sure what the big deal is abt benzos

Did not really read other peoples posts but OPs, but to answer your question, I honestly have no idea why people take benzos. Xanax here and there is good from time to time, and I personally take it how you do (1 bar, then split the others in half and take the halves over the course of 3-4 hours). My favorite personally is Diazepam because of the sedating effects, if you don't fall asleep, that is. But I actually overdosed from benzos... I ordered the legal benzo named Phenazepam, and it was in it's pure form, no fillers, just powder. I was stupid and took a paper clip and judged with that. 3 paper clip dips into the powder and 8 beers later, and the next morning, my parents called the ER, and got me rushed to the hospital. The problem with Phenazepam, is that it is the LONGEST HALF LIFE OF A BENZO, being 60 hours long!!! I forgot 4-6 days of my life because of this stupid drug, have no clue what I said to anybody in the hospital... Just from what I've heard from parents and the 1 friend I called while I was in the hospital (I find it funny how I remembered his phone number...lol). To this day I don't fuck with benzos anymore, just the occasional opiate. :)

BE EASY PLEASE, AND BE SAFE!!!

also if you mix your benzos with other downers like alcohol,opiates/opioid drugs, barbiturates then it's great for making the effects stronger

if you've ever had a panic attack you'd know what the big deal surrounding benzos is

Exactly.

I've taken them for severe panic/anxiety issues for something like 8+ years now on/off mostly (90% on) and i could not live a normal life without my xanax, i take 2-4 mg xanax per day and sometimes 20-40 restoril (+ 20 mg sepram) and with these medications i have been able to keep the same job for four years and do stuff that other people take for granted. The few occasions i want something "recreational" out of xanax i just take 1 mg xanax + 60 mg codeine and i get euphoria, if i take them separately i don't get any so in that sense they are 1+1=3 or 4. Also i've NEVER had any memory problems or issues functioning on benzos.

I know a couple of other people that use benzos and while some of them are opiate addicts and some of them prefer other drugs, they all use benzos as prescribed rather than recreationally. I do not know why this. Perhaps they just don't like the feelings of it too much?

Benzodiazapene effects are subtle if you take a small dose, such as the dose recommended by psychiatrists. People with anxiety issues such as myself may notice that big "relief" of daily anxiety. Example: 1mg of klonopin will not make me loopy or otherwise obviously altered, but the daily stress that comes with most normal tasks may suddenly dissipate. Talking to new people won't seem as terrifying and you can just "forget".

However, I have been fucked up on benzos. Just about 6 months ago I was at a friends house smoking some bud. He gave me 2 mg of klonopin which he did not want, and I had already taken 1.5 mg's of Klonopin about an hour beforehand. Long story short, I had to walk home an hour and half later. This feeling was somewhat similar to alcohol, but not happy, and a I felt a little more conscious. But I had no control over my body, I was flailing many limbs in confusion while walking. I can sum it up as feeling like a stick of butter. I was lucky to have another person with me that walked almost the exact same way as I did.

With 2 questionably dressed people, walking in at 3AM with one of them flailing around violently yet silently, in a small town with a large and hostile police force, I am amazed that I did not get pulled over.

But GODDAMN, Benzos are like a miracle for people with bad anxiety. I WISH SO MUCH that they were not addictive. I have never met someone addicted to benzos, but I always hear from everybody that it is even worse than opiate addiction. Very confusing indeed....
