SWIM is new here, so please be gentle, but has had a wide and varied career in drug taking over the last 20 years. Weed, speed, acid, shrooms, coke, MDMA, opium, DMT and various OTC and Rx meds.
He bought some "coke" last weekend but the after effects make him think it was something else, he knows its a long shot but just out of curiosity's sake he would like a bit of help guessing what it may have been.
It was sold as very strong coke, but had none of the distinctive smell or flakey look one would expect. He had a line and was instantly high as a kite, but with more of a speedy, teeth clenching edge to it and little of the euphoria one would expect. The effects seemed to last much longer than the South American product too.
Apparently it felt different when snorting it, more like heavily cut coke would and had little numbing effect.
There was some compulsion to redose, although not too bad but he was drinking alcohol with it.
He tried to sleep but only managed one hour despite drinking copious alcohol and taking codeine to try to help.
The next day he felt AWFUL, like the worst speed comedown ever, but decided to redose. Despite feeling worse and worse he kept redosing till it was all gone, by then he had tremors, high body temperature, profuse sweating, dehydration and no appetite. He rode it out and slept normally that night.
He woke up yesterday still feeling bad, but better and went to work for a quiet days work. There were some slight visual hallucinations, seeing things out of the corner of his eye etc, as well as a couple of instances of hearing his name called by people who were not there.
Today he woke up STILL feeling bad. Still with the slight hallucinations and tremors in hands.
Obviously he is quite worried about what this compound may have been, as it was clearly not what it was purporting to be. SWIM knows that guessing what it was form the after effects is a long shot but it is better than nothing.
