Hello, I have some question regarding Nose health. This has probably been discussed a lot, I tried searching but didn't find the replies to my very specific questions.
I started caring only afer DECADES of using/abusing because in my stupid mind, If I don't see blood dripping out from the nose, then it's all good. How fool I was/am
. Don't make my same mistake!
However, despite the heavy abuse with substances of all kind, I never, ever got a single drop of blood coming out, which is kinda good but it doesn't change the fact that it's a bad habit that should be stopped, in my opinion.
I started recently doing nose "washes", according to "The Drug Users Bible"
The nasal cleaning procedure is described in the first chapters of the book. This is how I do it:
So yeah my first questions are exactly about this procedure.
Q1: When to do the nase cleaning procedure?
I don't think doing it immediately after a line is a good idea (no matter the substance). I guess the more it stays in the nose, the better the effects wanted?
Or maybe, a good rule would be "when you know the substance's effect time is over, clean the nose"?
Let's say "Ketamine": After 3-4 hours (I'm saying random numbers, correct me), do the nasal cleaning procedure?
Q2: This procedure should be done with specific nasal cleaning solution? What if I use the water running down the sink (like I'm doing right now), is it a big problem?
Then the "main" questions, in order to reduce any unwated effect and stay healthy the most possible:
Q3: Applying some water inside the nose, with a water spray, or making the internal membrane wet somehow, before snorting, is a good idea? Does it help reducing the nose damage? And does it amplify or dampen the effects of the substance?
Because let's say it helps with reducing the damage, but at the same times it weakens the effects, then you are "forced" to take another line. So, we must decide if using a wet nose is something to consider or not.
Q4: Dissolving the substance in some water and then spray it with a nasal spray (rather than doing lines of little dry rocks), is a harmful DIY?
I've been told that it can be dangerous because of the dosage, but I'm thinking about the same exact dosage of the "line", just not in dry form.
Q5: When you get "permatollerance", you get it only for a specific "RoA" or is literally your body non being able to get altered anymore, no matter the RoA? (Probably stupid question, but I need to know CLEARLY what is happening).
I think I abused Ketamine way too much, even multi-lines don't give me ANY effect, not even the "beer-like" buzz, impossibile to imagine the littlest K-Hole at this point. Am I done forever with K, does "perma" mean "just long time recovery, wait some months/years and tollerance will reset a bit" or definitely "permanent damaged with no hope of tollerance reset"?
Q6: What can be a good "trick" to quit the snorting habit?
I realized one of my biggest problems is not the substances themselves, but the nasal RoA, the "ritual" and everything around it. Kinda like some ppl with needles I guess. Kinda like the sigarette gesture, which I successfully quit "Cold Turkey".
Thanks to anyone reading/giving their help and contribution to this topic, appreciated!
Have a nice day!

It's a 600+ page Book which I suggest giving a read to everyone here. It's not encouraging to use drugs of course, it's like a giant Wikipedia about substance as free as most from a sided/prohibitionist narrative. Only facts, chemistry, real experience(s), harm reduction and other stuff.
The nasal cleaning procedure is described in the first chapters of the book. This is how I do it:
1) Tilt my head under the water running from the sink.
2) Let water enter one nostril for 10-20 seconds while I breath with my mouth (and let the water exit from the opposite nostril)
3) Do the same with the other nostril
4) Blow my nose
Here the full original text:
Magick's Nasal Care from 'The Drug Users Bible' said:The actual practice of nasal lavage is far simpler and less offensive than it might
sound. Placing your head over the sink, tilted to one side, insert the nozzle of the
bottle into the uppermost nostril, breathe through your mouth and allow the water
to pour into your nostril, whereupon it will flow through your nose and out of the
other nostril. Sustain this for 20-30 seconds or as long as is comfortable. Tilt your
head to the opposite side, and repeat with the other nostril. Once you've used about
half the solution, blow your nose and repeat. This should help to flush out any
residual grot and minimise damage to the nasal mucosa.

I quit smoking after spending thousands of $$$ to fix my teeth, very messed up worse than a crack-head). I repeated to myself "You are PAYING to make cancer clouds", but mostly after the bad teeth realization. My teeth are now in good health, they don't hurt, they are not black. My lungs are good. My wallet is thankful too obviously.
