nose bleeds....

hey
just wondering, what the deal with coke and nose bleeds is..... heard somewhere(probably movies) that 'good '(purer) coke is supposed to do this...true or total hollywood crap....?

i don't know alot bout coke - but let me take a stab at this - could it be because in the inner part of the nose becomes irritated from the coke therefore causing a nosebleed
similar to a miscarriage ... the walls of the uterus become irritated therefore releasing the egg ......
 
When you put stuff up your nose, it's going to get irritated and bleed, and how much your nose bleeds is no indication of the quality of your stuff.
 
i dunno. my nose bleeds all the damn time cause i abuse the fuck out of the poor lil thingy. i have no feeling in my nose, lotsa tissue/lining/whatever missing, and lotsa blood everytime i snort. to any normal, sane person, these would be signs to stop--to me...i just get annoyed with having to have tissues handy when snorting. so sad. (btw i don't do coke, i do meth). no matter what you're shoving up your nose--it doesn't belong there, so if your nose wants to shoot out blood in rejection of the evil shit you are forcing up it--then so be it. its likely to happen

Generally newbies get the nosebleeds their first few times sorting, then it passes until you totally destroy it ... but no, "good coke" wont make yer nose bleed anymore then shitty coke.. stop watching movies for drug info!

Snorted 2 or 3 10mg Adderal's one night during finals (when it was so in vouge around school, kids popping Adderal's like tic tacs, a man could make a fortune...) A few days later my nose started bleeding for no reason. Anything you put up your nose can destroy it, you'll get over it soon enough.
 
i have started to rail mathamphetamines and i get nose bleeds every once in a while.
it burns like hell. i think its the HCL> and that burns the membrane stuff then i get nosebleeds??
 
Like everyone said, nosebleeds aren't an indication of good drugs... though certain cuts might be more likely to cause nosebleeds. Basically your nasal mucous membranes get irritated and then cut up by the sharp little crystals of drug/cut you are snorting.
If you snort too much, you can actual tear holes in the septum (that thing separating your two nostrils.) This can lead to a nasty wheezing sound when you breathe, as well as lots of discomfort. It's not uncommon to see this is people who were heavy coke users for a while. Just something to watch out for...
 
Certain drugs should be worse for the nose (ie drugs w/ a hydrochloride) like cocaine hcl, methamphetamine hcl, ketamine hcl. The first time I sniffed K, I got a nose bleed that seemed to last forever.
I mainly sniff oxycodone, and I don't really have any problems, but lately I've been blowing my nose and having the excitment of seeing some nice sized blood clots... hmmm?? what could this be? Bingo, it's because I've been doing coke everyday for the last 5 days!!!. hmmmm... maybe the lil cuts in my nose will make absorbtion into my bloodstream better! Rock on!
 
A drug being in an HCl salt form (blah HCl) won't necessarily make snorting worse. Despite what you may recall from chem, here it DOESN'T mean there is hydrocholoric acid with the drug. If that were true, you would snort once, and then never, ever snort anything again! You'd probably horribly and permanently injured your nose/sinuses too... but I digress...
Drugs in their freebase form (no hcl) are typically weak bases, drugs with an hcl are usually weak acids... both irritating, so I can't see it making a difference.
Also you may think your drug is just a powder... but those bits of powder are just tiny sharp crystals, and they can still tear up your membranes. Tho they aren't as bad as big, heavy crystals.
 
I thought that was what it meant? Pike if i had DPT Hcl, there is an extra H attached to the Nitrogen, and a Cl is bonded to that H. Same thig with other acids, like HI, HC2O3H2 and so on.
Does the acid unhook though before its absorbed and stay there though?
 
Sorta, insatiable-- the DPT molecule by nature is a weak base. I'm no chemist, so I couldn't tell you which group is basic. Anyways, when mixed with say HCl, the H+ dissociates and binds covalently to that basic spot (protenating it). This molecule, DPT-H+, is a weak acid. The Cl- ion isn't bonded; in solution the Cl-'s and the DPT-H+'s will float around independently. When you dry things out, they ionically bond and form a crystalline lattice (like any salt).
But the end result is still a weak acid and some harmless Cl- ions -- whereas plain HCl is a strong acid and could cause terrible damage.
 
Many people suffer nosebleeds when they move to a higher altitude, like when they go on a skiing holiday, because of the increased pressure differential between their (constant) blood pressure and the (lower) atmospheric pressure.
As cocaine and amphetamines can significantly increase your blood pressure at a constant atmospheric pressure, it's possible that this alone could cause spontaneous bleeding even without membrane irritation.

i got my first nosebleed sunday morning. it wasn't bad, but it was still a pain in the ass.
i had snorted some (very small amount) of ketamine the night before. i find k to be much less severe then meth or coke, but the latter two ahve never had any effect on my nose (well, besides the burning).
i was a little worried...but, then i felt all hardkore, so it was okay.
 
I really don't think nosebleeds are all that hardcore....in fact i feel like a stupid drug addict....for example. today i was taking an exam..my nose was running so i wiped it and realized it was bleeding...a lot..it must've dripped cause there was a little puddle on my desk...luckily i had napkins in my pocket....but YES. that's nasty, not hardcore.....
 
yea OK ^^ U ..thats BAD, an accasional nose bleed isnt bad, but a puddle on your desk?! yeah...bad..BAD, if your producing a puddle of blood out of your lil nostril BAD..did i say BAD...nose bleeds are bad, usually if your getting them, you put stuff up your nose more than u realize and probably should, cuz once again..nose bleeds are BAD, not dissing people who have them, cuz ive had my share of them as well, but ive heard that your left nostril has a vein in it, there for if the wall of your nose wear down in that nostril, it'll bleed a lot easier..this method is tested and approved haha ,peace...

I'm not an asshole...obviouslyy nose bleeds are bad...u could've wrote nose bleeds are bad once and i would've comprehended...thanks a bunch sport.
