i've been getting these lengthy nose bleeds (15min, takes forever to clot) on codeine CWE'd from AC+C tabs. is this unusual? does it indicate that a substantial amount of aspirin is making it through the extraction, ie blood thinning?

Do you experience stomach pain after ingesting it? I would imagine stomach pain would occur as a symptom of aspirin overdose before chronic nosebleeds. 15 minute nosebleeds are nothing to ignore, it should clot fairly quickly. It could simply be that you have small blood vessels in your nose or that they're close to the nose interior.

It is likely that Aspirin is the culprit due to it's blood thinning effect.
As to whether it's unusual or not, I'm not sure.
Are you prone to getting nose bleeds?

Aspirin is less soluble in water than Paracetamol (aka. Acetaminophen) so there's even less chance of a considerable amount making it through into your end solution.

i haven't had any stomach pain, no. my CWE technique is pretty tight i think, so unless the tek in general is bogus, there can't be that much aspirin making it through.

maybe it is the caffeine just causing a rise in blood pressure? i'll try the apap compound tomorrow and see if there's a change, and i'll check my BP on one of the pharmacy machines too, see if there's a dramatic increase from baseline.

i googled briefly but couldn't find an answer to this: how long does it take for the anticoagulant effects of aspirin to start? like immediately after one dose, or 10 days consecutive, etc. thx

Tablet-wise, it'll only be 30mins or so (literally as soon as it's absorbed and metabolized).
It's not like Antidepressants which take a few weeks to start taking effect ;)
Again as you might have missed me ask before; are you prone to nosebleeds?

^ ok thx. yes, probably have more nosebleeds than the avg person. but they don't usually last longer than a min or two. that's why i was concerned about these new extended ones ... not normal for me. haven't had one yet tonight, so far so good.
