I've read it potentates, erowid says it's bad, saying people end up places they don't remember. The guide here on BL says to use lower doses so maybe the erowid people took took too much?


Anyone actually try this?

I'm actually kinda pissed at my doc I told her I did NOT want my serotonin messed with, and the bitch lied putting me on this shit instead of lyrica for anxiety which I KNOW works, and is much safer........bitch..

from what i understand, the combination of these powerful mind altering drugs can be wildly unpredictable and idiosyncratic.

for example, acute ingestion of MAOI drugs like harmala will allow the oral absorption and activation of otherwise harmless toxins like tyramine and dimethyltryptamine

whereas chronic ingestion of clinical MAOI drugs can alter one's brain chemistry to the point where 5 squares of LSD has absolutely no effect.

according to Wiki, nortryptyline has antagonistic effects at various 5HT receptors, which could either competitively block LSD's action, or make your brain more sensitive to the effects due to up/downregulation of various receptor sites... just be careful and start way lower on the dose than you would predict.


consider yourself lucky that your doc did not prescribe you any SSRIs which are currently in vogue-- from what I read, the side effects make them not worth the amount of depression lifting or zombification they do provide.

if i may ask, why did your doc give you the nortryptyline?

Because she is a self riotous bitch, gotta follow the drug company map. Ive used Lyrica and know it works. But it is a school doc and bureaucracies suck. Sure, in EUROPE it has been VERY useful for GAD and safer than benzos SSRIs or trycycs for 5 years now..... she said 'she would look into it'. I've been cutting every day and just bumming lyricas to keep me sane.

she even said she would have given me an SSRI first if I wasn't terrified of having my serotonin fucked with because of my prozac inspired suicide years back. Lying cunt....
