well, its a nation with one of the worst human rights records in contemporary history, one that treats humans as completely disposable assets of near infinite supply, and one that has some of the lowest standards in manufacturing safety, food and health safety regulation, and almost total negligence towards drug and chemical manufacture safety and regulation.
i personally wouldnt ever eat a damned thing manufactured in china, I dont care if its a head of lettuce.
im sure whatever chemicals you would order from a chinese manufacturer would be legit as far as the compound itself. im also quite sure very little care was taken in the manufacturing, packaging, and shipping processes to preserve it as something consumable by humans. im sure its hardly been chemically washed, and contains all of the carcinogenic or otherwise harmful byproducts of chemical manufacture at ppm far higher than youd get from a Western manufacturer. im sure it contains all the filth and residue from whatever filthy factory an army of malnourished slaves produced it in.
though the USDA/FDA are nothign but revolving door vehicles for corporate interest (and have very little interest in preserving or maintaining the health of common american citizens), its a universe of difference in manufacturing standards within the states. europe is not much further behind.
