I understand that there is a general no name change policy on bluelight. I hadn't realized this before. Also, I didn't realize it was a completely public forum.

I know that there are some exceptions, though few and far between.

Clearly I was not thinking, and I used my real name for my nick. I was wondering if this might be an exception.

searches, employers, family, friends.... family of significant other... etc. ...

Also, there is a post in particular I need to delete/have deleted, but the thread is closed. It was suggested I contact an admin. However, I can only send one message every two hours >.<

If I can change my name, I wouldn't need to delete anything.

I saw that one route that has been used is to create a new account, and be able to have them merged. Would this be a plausible option for me ? And keep the new name ? I stopped posting after the first post, because of this [using my real name.... and due to the public aspect].

Anyways.... since pm's aren't really an option right now... if an admin or anyone might actually like to e-mail me if they have any good news or options or suggestions... not including "no read the 39686383965964839204 other threads"... please do... desperate... need help...

publicly posting your email address isn't really a good way to remain anonymous... -a_c

edit: the post in question has been deleted for me..... thank you so much =^.^= now, if only I could do something about this name....

Click on the triangle with the excamation point in the upper right hand portion of the posts that you are unable to delete and request that Staff delete them.

Also, lose your personal email address that contains your last name from the original post in this thread

Why don't you just delete your 5 posts, register a new account and start again?

Yep, that's about the best we can offer, first change the email on your current account to one you don't use. Then register a new account and post back here to let us know. I'll be happy to disable the old account and delete any posts you've made with it. At that point you can then feel free to use the new account.

Feel free to use the PM me link below if you have any questions on the process.
