Opioids No more effect or euphoria from oxycodone?

This happens with every opioid eventually

I started using codeine at 18
Fell in love with Oxy at 19 and have been on opioids almost everyday for 25 years.
Last 11 years I have been on 16-24mg of Suboxone and nothing else

I had free unlimited access to OC between 99 and 02 and by the end I could no longer really use it. You can only snort so much. I was not willing to IV it.

That was my rule never become an IV user and I think it is why I have never needed to be narcanned despite being a daily fentanyl user for 12 years.

Anyways, yeah oxy becomes unpractical and then you move on to the next, until before you know it you end up on fentanyl. Thank God in my case it was Patches so I always knew it was clean.

Sadly guys, I just don't know enough about this Ultra-Low Dose Naltrexone (ULDN) therapy to confidently comment on it. I will say that I've read some things, heard some things etc. that indicate it has some promise. I believe that it can be effective for reducing tolerance/renewing analgesic effects from Opioids, as I've both read and heard anecdotally from folks that it has worked.

It's relatively new on the scene. I would want to know what the side effects could be. Is there a possibility of precipitated withdrawal? Is the treatment essentially "infinite", like if done properly someone could cycle on and off this stuff for life? There are just a lot of questions for me, though the research and experiences seem to indicate that it has legitimate value for this purpose.
It sounds dangerous and the opposite of harm reduction

I have been using oxycodone for years and in the last few weeks I have been no longer achieving really any effects at all from it. Just trying to not be sick and that’s barely working. I’m dosing about 60-90mgs every 4-6hrs. Does anybody have advice to help them work again or better? I’m worried that in search of making them adequate for my issues again I’m entering overdose territory but I don’t know. I’ve tried plugging, insuflating, and sublingual administration, but haven’t really had any success. I’m also nauseous almost all the time and have been noticing a ringing in my ears as well. Does anybody have any advice on how to make it work again or at least help? I just need to make it the 23rd of the month to Detox and I’ll be free once and for all. Peace and love everyone.
I can't feel opioid since 2017. I switched to suboxone and something killed my oc feeling. So no matter how long I go without suboxone, I went once a whole year was back on oc in 2018 but never felt it again. In your case I'd just lower the dose and try again. It's pretty high.

Well, oxy Is not that strong. I can take 200mg but tramadol at 1000-1500mg ( with seizure protection) will makes me high much longer, it's better for pain...In my opinion oxy Is overrated

I’ve dropped my opiate tolorence significantly to where i was basically nodding yesterday from 4-6gs of red maeng da kratom but i was having to take ondansetron all day and 10mg diazepam (which has anti nausea properties) just to not puke, wasn’t worth the nod… any suggestions? I feel making tea and eliminating the powder helps but is also much less potent. I just add hot water to powder stir, steep for 30 min then strain and drink… am i doing it wrong?

I am not sure. I always swallowed whole powder of great guality but i know, now it makes me feel like i will vomit too. I have never made tea because it Is less potent. But in Europe, potent kratom pills (small pills) are available.

This will happen with every opioid, including heroin and fentanyl trust me I have experienced it firsthand and have been on an opioid basically every day since 1999

The only exception I have seen so far is buprenorphine and that is due to its partial agonism that is why I chose to use it as my maintenance drug and it has been perfect for the past 11 yrs

It's probably important to mention the phenomenon known as the "Kindling Effect" for those unfamiliar.

The "Kindling Effect" was first recognized in patients chronically dependent upon Ethyl Alcohol, Chloral Hydrate, Barbiturates etc. These are often referred to collectively as sedative/hypnotic drugs. The category also includes Benzodiazepines and to some extent Z-Drugs.

Basically, a person who becomes dependent upon say, Alcohol, develops tolerance. When the Alcohol is stopped abruptly, withdrawal occurs. Now, each time the individual withdraws, becomes red-dependent and withdraws again, a few things happen. First, the time it takes for a person to reach the same level of dependence becomes shorter. Also, the withdrawal tends to be more severe with each successive episode.

In medical literature, this is specifically in reference to sedative/hypnotic drugs. However, empirical evidence tells us that this effect applies to Opioids as well. I used Opioids for a few months consistently before I experienced withdrawal for the first time. Even then, it was relatively minor. At this stage of my life, if I were to use Opioids for 3 consecutive days, I will experience a moderately potent withdrawal. If I were to use for a week, I'd be almost fully dependent.

My guess is that, given enough time, these things could return to baseline. We don't have a lot of data for that. See, again, if a person were to get off Opioids completely for the IDK, 5-10 years it would probably take to be back to "brand new" they probably would be spending that time building a life of some kind that doesn't involve Opioids. It's just not realistic to expect a person to break free completely, enjoy life for 10 years, all so they could use Opioids for 3 months.

PLEASE read my most recent post and the full thread if you need more proof that this works. I convinced my Dr. it works with the Oxytrex study because this drug is now in it's final stages of approval so it definitely works.
