Welcome n00bs! I've been convinced to put the bong down long enough to give y'all a little introduction to Cannabis Discussion.

Cannabis Discussion is dedicated to the discussion of cannabis (marijuana) and related topics. We're looking for intelligent discussion of both basic and advanced topics, however, we're mostly looking for threads directly related to cannabis; threads of a more social nature are probably better suited for another forum (usually Drug Culture).

Bluelight is dedicated to harm reduction, and we try to take that to heart in Cannabis Discussion. Common HR topics include dealing with anxiety and paranoia caused by weed; perceived or real health risks due to smoking; and dealing with addiction/withdrawal. Discussing the merits of various smoking devices and other consumption methods is also popular.

In regards to those who like to tend their own gardens, we can't give you step by step instructions on how to grow, but if you have a question about some already growing plants we might be able to help you out.

so this was long overdue and both frizz and i wound up writing up CD blurbs about the same time. i've been requested to add my bit as well, and having read frizz's blurb i can understand why; he's such a clean-cut hard-ass :p here's some additional info to give you a leg up if you're looking for specifics and haven't learned how to navigate bluelight's search engine yet:


Cannabis Discussion (CD) is where all the seedy people go. If you missed that earth-shattering double pun then perhaps you'd better direct yourself there first, where you can brush up on your herbal knowledge in Bluelight's neverending encyclopaedia of cannabis chemistry and marijuana misadventures. If, on the other hand, you've already done all that can be done with a pipe (hopefully short of fornicating with it,) then maybe you'd be interested in trying a hand at the cooking with cannabis mega thread. you could also learn how to reinvent your favorite herb by turning it into liquid hash, or if you're already stoned and just sick to death of having to actually READ the content of Bluelight, entertain yourself with mouth-watering pics of buds submitted from worldwide by viewing the everlasting, ever-changing 'Pot or Not' thread. Wherever your wandering mouse may take you, we hope you'll find time in your week to settle down with a nice joint and discover new ways to keep mary jane safe and interesting in the Cannabis Discussion subforum.
