Nitrous tanks

Those energy drinks shaped like automotive nitrous bottles don't have any nitrous oxide in them, and are carbonated with standard carbon dioxide. The reason they are branded as NOS is to allude to the energetic effects NOS has on cars.

Apparently there are some energy drinks that are actually carbonated with nitrous oxide though, but it wouldnt have enough to do anything (probably contain a few grams per liter):

I am aware that the NOS energy drinks do not have nitrous in them. My question was more regarding the labeling, it has almost the same exact sticker as a NOS tank; seems like it would be some kind of infringement. But probably win win for them.

Ah you addressed half of the second question. I am not under the impression I could get a nitrous high from a 'nitrogenated' (their word) drink.
My question was if anyone is aware about any possible health concerns about drinking a ton of those "nitrogenated" (carbonated with nitrous oxide) drinks. I notice they seemed to dissapear from the market. Maybe they just don't get em where I live.

OK I got a case of 4 1365 gram Nitrous tanks from Monster Gas. They have a valve on top that is 11mmx1 that seems to be an obscure thread size so I just bought a regulator instead of trying to adapt to a regular one. After playing around with it a little this is what I came up with. The hose on the regulator is a metric size but a 3/16 barb seems to be OK. That goes into a .3 micron filter full of oil absorber. I didn't really taste any oil but I don't trust "food grade" not to have any. From there it goes to a garden variety blow gun like you use on compressed air to clean parts. The tip is usually a rubber thing but it unscrews and I installed a 1/8" NPT hose barb to a hose you hit off of. Pretty simple actually. It works fine but I still need to add in my O2.
For this a concentrator is not going to work since they pressure out will be overcome by the N2O and the O2 won't flow in any usable amount. I do have O2 tanks tho. This thing seems to give decent flow with the regulator on 20PSI that drops to 10 when you are pulling gas. I figure if I set the O2 regulator to 20 it will give me plenty of O2 since the welding style O2 regulator flows at a higher rate. That will be version 2.1.

Do you use a thumb SpO2 monitor to measure blood oxygen during your sessions? If so, what do your levels look like?

Do you use injectable B12? They actually sell decent quality veterinary injectable B12 on amazon, works fine.

I got the O2 going before I really got started and my level never really got below 90. I usesub lingual B12 tablets (5000mcg).

This is v. 2.1 with the O2.

Looks like you had a hit of nitrous before taking it...

You dont wear a mask? With my setup I just turn on both the oxygen and nitrous and breathe normally, not holding on to the gas (similar to how they do it at the dentist).

That is my camera. for some reason it decided to focus on that little brass knob at the bottom and let everything else be out of focus. I suppose I could to something to increase the depth of field but I am busy ;)

I was advised early in my journey by a dentist we met at a Willie Nelson concert never use a mask without supervision. If something goes wrong, you can die. He saw us hitting off that 4# nitrous bottle using a hose and said he didn't think we could get in too much trouble with that.
I really don't want a mask on my face anyway. I am certainly never using a CPAP. (that everyone else I know has) and I think a nitrous mask would just assure a bad trip.

I don't know. I have been hitting this stuff off a hose for over 40 years. It just seems natural to me. Sort of like hitting a joint.

Has anyone figured out a way to repurpose these larger tanks? I have 8 empty 1364g 2.2l tanks that just look too good to throw away. A 15mm socket will remove that funky 11mm fitting and the threads are the metric that interchanges with 1/8" NPT pipe thread (10mm) so it is easy to get to something useful. The only thing I have come up with so far is to use one or more as buffer tanks for air tools on a long hose. 4 seems like a decent size if one isn't enough. I know if you get too far from the compressor my framing nailer can run out of air if you fire too many in quick succession. Maybe filled with CO2 you could use one to air up a tire on the road in an emergency but that would take high pressure plumbing parts and would be exciting if the 1/8" pipe broke. (Roadrunner cartoon stuff). You would be better off with a real CO2 bottle and commercial valve for that. I have one I use for my finish nailer on small jobs.
