I enjoy NO2 quite a bit, and I occasionally buy some to use for whatever reason. Actually, I went a couple years without using it, and then used it a little bit heavily recently. And it seems that I can't enjoy it like I used to... The high is there, and the same, but it also distorts reality now for a period after when it should be doing so (IMO). Especially my peripheral vision and my hearing. Not debilitating, and not unpleasant, but definitely something I've worried about.
I actually wouldn't even be posting this, but the last time I did it I experienced my first ever straight up hallucinations from it (not just distortions from my environment, but actual hallucinations). All were sound based hallucinations, coming after the trip, and persisting beyond a couple hours. The weirdest one was the last one, where I heard an extremely distinct and clear "jumbling" (like I was hearing both sounds in isolation, at once, but somehow entwined) of two sentences I'd actually heard from my mother in days preceding. The sounds echoed and flanged in my mind for a subjectively long period of time; it really made me feel like maybe something was wrong. It was very strange, and I still felt weird from the nitrous, and so I chalk it up to that. But it was distressing, and immediately after, because of how it felt when I experienced the hallucinations, I had a lot of anxiety over my physical/mental health. I hope it was just a strange aberration of my consciousness, and not a sign of deeper trouble, but it does worry me.
I was worried I was descending into something like psychosis, for a short while.
So, ideas? I don't even use it that often. Anyone else get strange effects like this from NO2?
