Well I bought a bottle of 600gr of nitrous and im going to try it for my first time. So no experience, even I never seen anybody using it.
I dont want to go to nitrous space so want to have a small dose for the first time.
So I bought balllons and going to go this way.
I read that nitrous bottles for whipe cream have like an oil that is not good to inhale it. Is it wright?
How can I do it to filter it?
I read. @negrogesic that said that the way to go with ballons is to inhale nitrous then inhale air then nitrous then air and go where you want to be. Its that wright.
Can I do it alone?

Thanks in the advance!

I can't comment on the potential danger of Nitrous Chargers/Cartridges/Pods. I have some educated guessing to do though. These canisters are almost exclusively made for use in the hospitality industry. They're called chargers as they are put into a dispenser to "charge" its supply of Nitrogen. They're commonly used to make whipped cream, which is the same essential mechanism used in disposable cans of Whipped Cream one would buy at the supermarket.

Products destined to be used in food service are by definition going to need to be ingested. I'm not saying that there is no danger, but I feel a person can be relatively certain that their chargers are no more dangerous than any other form of Nitrous Oxide consumption, say from a tank, mask or what have you. I've never heard of this issue prior to this thread, so I'm definitely not an expert.

Nitrous Oxide is one of the safest recreational substances known to man. Our bodies are naturally able to filter Nitrogen from our bodies, as there is typically Nitrogen in the air that we breathe already. Nitrous is not only quite safe, it also seems to be one of the few drugs I've ever heard of that lacks the typical dependence/tolerance relationship. Nitrous is inhaled, the effects are felt and these effects wear off as the Nitrous levels of the body regain their normal state.

Like Hiking in Yosemite, Nitrous leaves only footprints in the minds of the user. While Nitrous Oxide does not seem to produce dependence, it is a recreational drug and there are people who chase the Nitrous high in a compulsive manner. Most people seem to be pretty alright with using it once in a while and putting it down in between.

Nitrous Oxide is not the same as say, a volatile gas anesthetic like they will strap on you before surgery and whatnot. These gases will produce anetsthesia/unconsciousness in seconds. Nitrous Oxide is only going to make a person fully/semi-unconscious in heavy dosages. Even still, dosages tend to wear off quickly, so it's not as if you need to have serious concerns over stuff like driving a vehicle for instance. It's a short-acting drug, which is why the dentist has a mask with continuous flow.

The big thing you need to be aware of with Nitrous - it's not entirely "safe" - is that heavy usage can lead to a severe deficiency in Vitamin B12. If this deficiency is left untreated chronically, severe neurological effects can occur. This shouldn't come into play for someone having a night of inhaling some balloons, but it's something we have to touch on if we're gonna claim to be covering all bases.

I have to tell you that in heavy usage it can bring you on a wheelchair for life like negrogesic said. So I wouldnt say its the safest recreational drug know to man.
Lots of thanks for your answer!! Be well!

Balloons are just a hassle. Better to inhale straight from the tube using the simple regulator that usually comes with it (screw off to open, screw on to shut). It takes some practice. Be aware that you're handling a pressurized and cryogenic gas. This will always constitute an additional risk. You don't want to be so out of it that you can't handle that.

Be very careful to take oxygen between every inhalation. Oxygen starvation is not the point here. You will get some level of that anyway, but it should be minimized.

Don't use more than once a month, preferably less than that. Just once in a blue moon. It inactivates B12 by oxidation and can cause demyelinization of nerves.

Thank you dude!
Im gonna do a tube coonected to the bottle of nitrous then a cpap mask that I found of my father.
I dont know if its a good idea to have one mask with nitrous and the other conected to cpap, because I have two masks. I can have one in the nose and the other with nitrous in the mouth.

I dont eat meat so I take 1000mg a week of B12.
Its been like 3 months that I dont take it cause Ive been eating some meat, but not too much.
Im gonna take it today.

Thanks again man. Have a good day/night

That's really good to have actual medical oxygen, i've never tried that personally. I just meant taking plenty of regular breaths of air in between, so to me you're doing it double safe i guess :D

Enjoy

Hey @kongoman in hindsight I do regret the language I used in this thread, as I do feel I may have over-minimized the safety risks for Nitrous. I'm coming from a point of view of someone who has been dealing with Fentanyl and Fentanyl/Xylazine, Methamphetamine et cetera over the past few years. When taking into account drugs that can and often do kill people, Nitrous does seem like a much safer drug on this spectrum.

Still, I do think I may have been a little bit too encouraging. Yes, people can experience serious adverse health effects as a result of Nitrous inhalation. I do believe that if a person takes a small degree of caution into then matter, these situations can be avoided. Keep in mind, a lot of thr people who are out there overdosing on depressants are often playing russian roulette, gambling on their tolerance, the drug's potency and often, how they will interact with other drugs already in their system. In short, these people have lost control.

Someone who is looking to experiment with Nitrous like yourself, who does the research and approaches the situation cautiously should not have to worry about some of these Nitrous worst-case-scenarios that you read about. Good for you for being safe.

If you didn't buy the real regulator you probably should be using a balloon, at least as a regulator. Put T fitting in the hose with a balloon on it. Then you won't be exposed to the 650 PSI in that tank. The real problem with the tanks is it is hard to get a trickle of gas out (enough to keep the balloon full without popping it. This is a small commercial tank with a real valve on it.

If you really think you like this, get off the $50 and guy a regulator. Then a "blow gun" like mechanics use is a good way to take a hit. I also added oxygen.

Sorry about the focus. My camera decided that nut on the valve in the lower center was what I was really taking a picture of.

That is the filter I was using on my cartridge toggle loader but it doesn't seem as necessary using the big tanks. These are Monster Gas 1367g tanks and I have been through 5 of them without any sign of oil in the hose before the filter.

Please use some sort of filter.

If you plan on only doing this for a very short period of time, at least buy some automotive grade fuel filters and run the gas through it.

Like these:

Or, at the very very least cut up some heavy duty masks (like the N95 used for covid) and take several layers and wrap it over the end of the tube, and use a rubber band to hold it in place.

I recommend inhaling a bit of gas, hold for a bit, exhale. Breathe fresh air, then repeat. Use low pressure and do not blast it into your lungs, and make sure the tube is long enough so the gas isnt too cold. You'll know if its too cold. Do not use the whole tank in one sitting. Maybe 1/4 at most for a beginner. To keep track how much you've used, you can weigh the tank beforehand and calculate how many grams you"ve used.

Frankly you'd probably be safer using a whipping cream dispenser and chargers, but you can use the tank you have if you are careful.

I abused nitrous daily and heavily for over a year, and I was fine, but those predisposed to the B12 depletion and oxidative effects of NOS have been less luckly.

Diviertete, pero ten cuidado!

The little 8g chargers are far worse for oil than the bigger tanks. I haven't really noticed that much oil, if any.
