I've been reading a lot lately about nitric oxide supplements. Personally I don't like using any un-natural supplements.

If you look at pictures of natural bodybuilders vs. guys that are all jacked up on who knows what, the natural guys just look much healthier and proportioned.

For those who use nitric oxide (or any supplement for that matter), which do you use and what do you think of the results.

For those who don't use supps why do you stay away from them?

I won't use anything that was made in a lab. if I want protein I'll eat a steak.

What on earth is a nitrous oxide supplement?

Nitrous oxide is fun to inhale. zzzzzwahwahWAHWAHwahwahzzzzz. It's not going to get you ripped, though!

Nitric Oxide supplements are not "un-natural" and the pictures you're talking about aren't from these, or other similarly mislabeled supplements, but most probably from anabolic steroids.

Nitric Oxide in the blood can be increased by supplementing the amino acid L-arginine and L-arginine alpha ketoglutarate, amongst other amino acids (for example, citruline malate and beta alanine).

None of these are "un-natural" as they are simply amino acids which help your body produce more nitric oxide which allows for greater muscle endurance and an increase in blood volume levels during weight training.

I've used them for years and I have found no ill effects whatsoever except for increased vascularity, greater endurance, greater strength, and better pumps when lifting. The only one you may want to be careful with is Beta Alanine - you want to make sure you get enough Taurine in your diet or you could run a little low. Taurine depletion isn't a very good feeling.

^ Ahaha, I started reading and was like lolwut.

OP, if you want the title of the thread changed, feel free to send me a PM. :)

eh i have such a massive tolerance for dissociatives, i bet i could do a few pumps with great form after a line of k and some fucking nitrous!

seriously though, nitric oxide does produce results, though i am not so sure about long term health. i cycled it into my hypertrophy workouts when i was bodybuilding. i loved the bulldozer like feeling it gave me in combination with caffeine. it def made my entire body cavity pressure rise, and at times i felt like if i pushed just slightly harder, id give myself an aneurysm. its the only supplement i took outside of whey isolates (and technically caffeine).

i cant imagine its good for the body long term, though bodybuilding overall puts unnatural stresses on the various physiological systems which result in some long term effects. its one of those things where if you know how to maintain great form and posture properly when lifting, it will aid you greatly in the short term. if you lift lazy or dont pay good attention to yourself when working out, doubtful itl do much for you.

most people's problems in the gym are in that department anyways - lifting with less than perfect form / having less than perfect posture, and letting their mind wander instead of focusing on each rep. youd be amazed at how little supplements you need when your form is solid.

I've heard that from a bunch of people, that form is the most important thing you can do at the gym. if you don't have perfect form you're wasting a large portion of your energy.

still, I think I might try this nitric oxide stuff....

It definitely does, if you've been cheating on form and then move to proper lifting, you'll should see a huge increase in gains.
