Nina Gordon ? Psychedelic?

A friend of mine played this song "Tonight and the Rest of my Life" by Nina Gordon, it's a real mellow tune but quite magical sounding.
She (my friend) said that Nina wrote it about a psychedelic. I don't know if she is right or not, but I look at the lyrics:

and it sure sounds psychedelic to me. I don't find any references to her talking about it as a drug song.

I wish she and Louise would have kept Verucca Salt alive. I loved that band (there first album, anyways...)
