*Note* this poem and Mind Warped were written a year ago, during a bout of depression resulting from a lonely life in college, without friends, companions, or acquaintances. Read on...
Sometimes I wonder
What would it be like?
What would it be like if I never was?
If I never was, I'd be free
Free of guilt
Free of pain
Free of failure
If I never was, I'd be perfect
Yet, here I am
Born, alive,and breathing
How Ironic it is, that in my existance
I am nothing
I have no importance
No meaning
No purpose
Other than to be another living, breathing wretch
On this acrid God-forsaken world
Sometimes I wonder
What would it be like?
What would it be like if I never was?
If I never was, I'd be happy
Sometimes I wonder
What would it be like?
What would it be like if I never was?
If I never was, I'd be free
Free of guilt
Free of pain
Free of failure
If I never was, I'd be perfect
Yet, here I am
Born, alive,and breathing
How Ironic it is, that in my existance
I am nothing
I have no importance
No meaning
No purpose
Other than to be another living, breathing wretch
On this acrid God-forsaken world
Sometimes I wonder
What would it be like?
What would it be like if I never was?
If I never was, I'd be happy
