As you may see by my post history, I've tried quite a lot of stuff to curb my pain.

(this link is not for the faint of hearted): http://imgur.com/zEYQJ.jpg

It's been seen to by many doctors and specialists and very generally they've labeled it: Palmo plantar Kerato derma, even though it doesn't look like any recorded image of it (google it... horrible).

Anyway, it gives me incredible pain, and it's physical. At night, I can wake up to my foot bleeding like that. (I guess rubbing it together, skin cracking etc)

Anyway. Finally found a combination of medication that help (I can literally WALK, allows me to sleep and stops a massive build up of dry skin on my feet):

- OxyNorm 40mg (2 x 20mg Immediate Release OxyCodone Hydrochloride)
- Diazepam 10mg (2 x 5mg)
- Zopiclone 15mg (2 x 7.5mg)

Oxy used to make me uber sick. Really sick. Suddenly, mix it with either Diazepam or Zopiclone, I'm sweet. I feel good, I feel like walking... I suddenly have my energy back (think of it like this, you're on your feet all day... then you get to sit down and rest - i'm like this x100 24/7).

In fact, if I take Zopiclone during the day, it helps with pain too. Diazepam by itself, not so much, but more so than say... morphine. 8)

As a mix they're great, and I've even told my doctor who looked at me with disbelief but didn't dismiss it either, which is great! :)

To the Bluelighters out there, is this combination good thing or a bad thing? Is there something else I can be trying? I've been told by dermatologists that creams won't benefit. (:|)

Other than addiction potential, which is characteristic of most any pain regimen, there is nothing particularly wrong with these prescription. Something strange to note is the fact that you could not stomach oxycodone without benzodiazepines and hypnotics. IMO, these drugs have nothing to do with your reaction to oxy. Most likely, you have built-up a tolerance due to other opiate use, and this tolerance has carried over into your oxycodone prescription.

So in other words, if you are taking the other two sedatives only for the purpose of indigestion, I would get off of them. But if they help you sleep through your pain, which they probably do, then it is totally up to you.

Anyways, I am happy to hear that you have finally found a way to medicate yourself, and I hope the medication continues to be effective! The body tends to become somewhat tolerant to these drugs effects, so be weary if in the future you are increasing your dose. Also, the diazepam (Valium) and oxycodone are quite physically addicting. This is something that you probably are aware of, but I just wanted to make sure that you realize the potential for abuse/addiction. With all these warnings out of the way, happy walking! :)
