Phenylpropanolamine? P2P or different? I assume it was going to be used to cook amps?

Drug charge brother a hero, Carey tells court
June 2, 2010 - 3:19PM
Former AFL star Wayne Carey has told a court his brother, who pleaded guilty to a drugs-related charge, is his hero.
Kevin Carey, 48, known as Dick, pleaded guilty in the Victorian County Court today to one count of attempting to possess a border controlled precursor.
The precursor, phenylpropanolamine, arrived in Sydney from Johannesburg, South Africa on June 25 last year concealed in multi-threaded rollers used for cricket pitches.
The rollers were intercepted by customs and the substance removed.
Carey was asked by associates to drive the rollers to Melbourne.
He agreed and set off on July 1.
He was arrested at his son's Moonee Ponds home a day later.
The court was told Wayne Carey was 13 years old when he went to live with Dick in Adelaide for several years.
Dick was Wayne's manager when he moved to Melbourne from Adelaide at aged 16 to play with the North Melbourne Football Club.
Wayne credited his footballing achievements to the support of his older brother.
"From a young age Dick was my hero," Wayne Carey told the court.
"He has always been a disciplinary and if it wasn't for him I don't think I would have been the footballer I was."
Carey's lawyer Sergio Petrovich said his client was not completely aware what he was doing was illegal until he was on the road to Melbourne.
The Crown did not oppose the imposition of a wholly suspended sentence.
Judge Rachelle Lewitan extended Carey's bail and will sentence to him on a date to be fixed.
