NEWS: Camping trip ends in 'terrible' tragedy

Oh no, Psilo and I were talking about this crash on the weekend and assumed it was people going to Royal Doof. Had no idea anyone from BL were involved :(

news keeps getting worse and worse....no one on here probably knew her as she didn't use the site, but yesterday the driver of the car passed away as well. just too tired from 5 days on life support, wasn't enough pressure to get blood to her brain.

any age is too young to die, but 16 definitely is. take care out there folks, you never think it'll be your friends.

Just built up the courage to search for news stories relating to the crash and stumbled across this. Thanks for sharing Slain, I appreciate it.

I can say with conviction that I will be making a full recovery and estimate myself to be about a week away from full discharge. When that time comes I will have to deal with my new opiate addiction which is going to be all sorts of fun. (IV morphine while in a coma for a week, didn't even get to feel how good it was :| )

Despite loosing three of my best friends, one of which was a housemate, I find myself in fairly good spirits and want nothing more than to get back into the real world.

I can update on the other survivor Luke, he's still in a coma. Not induced AFAIK, but he's right across the hall from me so I can see him at will and he seems to be improving greatly. Responding to touch/pain and even had his eyes open for a period of time recently. He's definately still in there, its just a waiting game until he decides to wake up, which is soon hopefully as his poor parents have flown down from darwin and are spending every day with him for as long as it takes.

I'll update again in future. Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Hey, you looked pretty good the yesterday dude! :)
I'm heading in to see Luke sometime this week.
Also, Ali wants to see you as well!

Keep up the good work!

So glad to hear you're recovering and in good spirits.
With your positivity and our good vibes, you can't lose :)

Hey mate, as a rehab based nurse, i look after people who have been to hell and back. Just want to say hang in there and you will always have your good and bad days. We always say 2 steps forward and 1 step back :) Try and stay as positive as you can..often it makes all the difference :)

Wish you all the best for the next journey of your life :)
