Another unbelievable stat - over 50% of the worlds population have never made or received a phone call.

I'd believe it, remember the majority of the world is still in 2nd and 3rd world countries.
Between China and India you have about 40% of the worlds population, and I wouldn't be suprised if two thirds of those countries have never used a phone.
+ children under the age of 6 worldwide probably haven't made a phone call.
It's only hard to believe because here in australia 100% of people over the age of 5 probably have both made and recieved phone calls. Don't know if this is relevant but Melbounre is also the highest user of mobile phones per capita any where in the world ^.^
