So glad I found this place! Wow, where to start! I was in the Army, then worked for 15 years as a Paramedic. Always in pain but meh, thought everyone was and I was a pussy. Got diagnosed at 50 with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Realized how much damage I’d done to my body not knowing and just pushing myself.. so hello pain management and OMG hello Oxycodone. Fight with it every month and usually run out early leaving me with withdrawls for days until I refill. Just really sick of the cycle but I’m here to hopefully learn stuff, have fun and maybe help others along the way!!

Hey there glad to have you @medicbarbie2000!

Hello to oxy. Did oxy say hello back or just kinda snuggle you? Sometimes oxys can be mean because they leave you high and dry. I hope you do learn a lot here and you might like to check out our Recovery Support forums: https://www.bluelight.org/xf/forums/#recovery-support.268

Sorry for the link the embedded links option isn't working for me on mobile. Nor smilies. *shrug*

:p

Welcome to Bluelight!

After the first couple does I got HUGE pain relief. After a couple weeks I noticed the amazing side effect of an awesome mood and the ability to super clean my house. If the Doc would’ve told me that I’d get sick if I stopped taking it suddenly I never would’ve taken it.. too late though, that’s amazing feeling was worth it.

Maybe there's a world where you can balance the good feels to keep off the sickness.

I know, i know. Isn't that the obvious statement. I'd do the same thing you're doing if i had Desoxyn, dextro, adderall, vyvanse etc.

Hopefully you find what you're looking for on BL.

Welcome again :)

Hi @medicbarbie2000
Welcome to Bluelight!

I've noticed that the good thing about pain killers is they work way to good until they stop working as good, then you are left with not feeling so good so you then want to look into feeling good again.
Lots of us here @ BL have been there before, maybe not exactly like how you are experiencing what you are experiencing. but due to some degree, most of us have been through WDs from something some form or another.
like what madness said, check out H&R. Also if you are just looking to discuss kind of what's on your mind and need to vent a bit, or share some experience, strength and hope then come on over to TDS
Just stretch the legs, and see what is around.
Cheers!
