Hello! I am a newbie here.. well a newly "joined" member, as I have came to Bluelight for sometime for advice etc but never joined officially until now. I have had a year from hell honestly and feel it's time to stop just looking in and join in on the community! I am from OH but relocated to Fort Myers (SW FL) about 2 years ago. I suffer from herniated discs as well as fibro so have been a pain sufferer for some time.. too long! Especially for my age! The saying "You are only as old as you feel", well that sucks for me because I feel about 60 years old and I am 1/2 that so I can only imagine how I will feel when I really am 60! LOL. I am interested in connecting with like minded people.. & if in the SWFL area added bonus! I have yet to meet many people here, or should I say the right people anyways. I don't drink or do anything (maybe an occasional joint lol) other than my opiates. Like many, my opiates have slowly progressed over time. Starting on Vicodin/loratab (I remember when I could make 2 Loratab last all day.. ahhh the good ol days lol), then up to roxys, then to Opanas etc. Oxymorphone has a special place in my heart lol! Especially since the generics have came out. Unfortunately, like all good things that come to an end, they sued the company manufactoring the "moons" and those are off the market so now we are stuck with the Impax brand 
Still better than those crappy waxy, plastic, pieces of poo called Opana that they are trying to pass off as pain pills LOL. Honestly I have never IV'd or plugged so I can't speak to that but I find Opana to be less of a 'high" but more of a clearness, fuzziness, hard to explain really but much more effective for pain! The downside is the withdrawal! I have experienced just about every withdrawal you can think of as far as opiates.. pharmaceutical and not, but nothing compares to the withdrawal of Opies! It is like you are going through literal hell with Satan himself screwing you with a pitch fork!!
For a long time I was strictly a roxy girl, wouldn't touch anything else, didn't like anything else. But after being on oxymorphone the roxy just don't do much for me anymore. I am a firm believer in whatever gives you the highest bio availability should be the route of admission (besides IV, FOR ME personally anyways). I never understood why so many of my friends or family snort their roxys. Every time I see this, I go on my tangent explaining how they are literally wasting some of the pill, and just to chew the damn thing up! But it falls on deaf ears. LOL. Anyways.. I am rambling LOL. This was my introduction%) I look forward to connecting with fellow bluelighters and hopefully even some in my area!! (HIGH HOPES.. no pun intended 
lol ) Hopefully there's not many people who crash the threads trying to start stuff with others and ruin a good thing. I haven't ran into it yet, fingers crossed, so hopefully it stays that way!!
