I'm Becca - 27 years old and a full-time freelance writer who works from home.

I have a bunch of problems - anxiety, depression, bipolar, ptsd.. etc

I've recently started taking Klonopin as prescribed by my doctor. I've been on it about a month now. It kind of helps, but not fully. I still have anxiety 24/7, just not as bad.

As I said before, I am a freelance writer. I work at night when my daughter is sleeping and I get little to no sleep. Coffee just isn't doing the trick anymore. I know I need sleep, but when that's not an option, what else do I do? I need to focus to get my work done. If I don't work - the bills don't get paid. When I am super tired, I can't focus and my productivity levels go down.

I've been thinking about trying to get on Adderall, to help keep me up and be more productive, but being new to prescription medications, I don't know if the Klonopin and Adderral would cancel each other out, or have other negative effects?

I'm also scared about becoming addicted to benzos or adderall. I'm in a three year relationship with a recovering heroin addict and becoming an addict is my biggest fear.

But, I just don't know what to do anymore. Working during the day is impossible because I have a toddler and I can't sit still for two minutes to get anything done, so I have to work at night. I can't work outside of the home due to lack of transportation, not enough money for daycare, and my horrendous anxiety problems. So this is what I have. I make good money, but I suffer because I don't sleep.

Illegal drugs are not something I'd ever consider, but I'm just wondering if Adderall is the way to go, or is there another solution that would help keep me up at night to work?

This is my first post, so don't judge me too bad haha ;)

Thanks

It seems like you are thinking about trying to get adderall by telling a doctor you have ADD, when you really need something to help you stay up all night. I would talk to your doctor. You say you make good money, but you have no transportation, anxiety, and a toddler. Maybe you could find transportation and a daycare for your child so you can work during the day.

I make way more than I would if I worked outside of the home, plus all I'd be working for is to pay for daycare without anything left over. I might have ADD but I was never officially diagnosed. I just need something that'll help me stay awake at night so I can work. I know sleep is important, but it's not always an option for me.
