Hi everyone,

I have just registered, whilst admittedly not really knowing too much about what "Bluelight" is really all about. I'm happy to receive vague explanations and interpretations of what individuals may perceive is the purpose of this forum and I feel as though I can decypher this information adequately. But, to be honest, I'm not sure if I'm just disillusioned and misguided (reading into things more than I should) or whether or not there is something more to this forum than the general description/intro provided. Please, enlighten me. I'm confused.

How is one to conduct oneself on this forum? What is appropriate information to divulge? How does one subtly and concurrently, successfully, describe one's situation to adequately receive relevant feedback? I'm hesitant to elaborate without further guidance.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cindy.

We function as a harm reduction forum. More or less, that just means, that we try to provide people the information they need in order to take the safest path they are personally willing to.

So far as personal information goes, you need not divulge anymore than you are comfortable with, though the social aspects of the site can become rather fun once you're more comfortable.

As to asking questions, be straightforward and honest. Provide as many details as you can for more quality answers. Don't incriminate yourself to the point of posting locations and times, but feel comfortable enough to divulge what you're doing, otherwise we once again can't be of much help to you.

As an aside, we forbid the use of self avoidance terms (SWIM, et. al.), as they offer no legal protection and make posts hard to read. Just take a look at the way some other established posters go about asking a question in the area of the site you are thinking to post in.

I'd take a moment to read the BLUA found in my signature below, and if you have any questions at all, feel free to use the PM me link also below.

Hope that helps.

We operate under the notion that a person has a drug in their possession that they wish to consume, and thus come here to find out the safest way to consume the drug. We're not here to suggest recreational drugs to people, but will suggest drugs that can help in situations such as withdrawal, or making the consumption of another drug safe.

There are forums for dosage information is someone is new to a drug and needs help figuring out how much they should take, and we have other forums for taking combinations safely. Then there are 'focus forums' which are forums with information on one particular drug or class of drugs. Then of course there are the more social forums that discuss topics anywhere from sports to film to music, and then there's second opinion and healthy living for topics outside of drug use. Then if you really just want to bullshit there is 'The Lounge.'

We have also began to expand our focus on the discussion of the cessation of drug use as seen by the addition of the sub-forums 'mental health' and 'sober living' to the section that was formerly just known as 'the dark side.'

The best way to get to know this website is to lurk. The forum page provides brief descriptions of each forum, and the greenlighters guide and FAQ [should be links in the green box at the top of the page for all greenlighers] is also a good place to start.

we also follow all parts of the BLUA. that means things like sourcing (asking for drugs) or asking for help in committing illegal ideas is prohibited. if you want to know more about a particular forum, look over their forum rules and lurk around a bit.

welcome :)
