Hi BL

I'm a private guy so this has taken some real soul searching to finally ask for help this way and to admit there's a real problem. Guess I should start by introducing myself, I'm Blofeld from the UK, my story is this, I had a major car accident in 1992, where I smashed almost every bone from my neck to my waist, I also had a 4" by 4" fence post impaled in my back, resulting in me loosing a kidney, lung, ribs and having vertebrae removed T5-T9, I don't want to bore everyone with the rest of the details, but I basically spent 3 weeks in an induced coma and almost a year in hospital. After 9 surgeries on my back I'm waiting for a date for number 10, my problem is the pain control, I've been on opioids for twenty years now and have had everything from Tramadol to Methadone, OxyContin to Fentanyl, infact I've probably had every pain medication possible, as expected after over 20 years I've built up a huge resistance to the meds. I'm currently on the following (prescribed doses) 56mg Palladone (HYDROMORPHONE HYDROCHLORIDE) twice daily (slow release), 10+ palladone 2.6 (immediate release)daily, diclofenac, Prozac and a fair few other tablets for various medical problems. Yeah I had failed operations, spells in hospital with severe PTSD, but my main problem is I can't get my pain under control, I also want to know what the easiest and safest way to get a hit out of my Palladone is? With my Oxy etc it was easy, but what do I do with these Palladone? Do I just open each capsule and empty the small balls into a small glass of water and let them dissolve, if so how many and how much? I'm looking for a hit to take away the pain and let me sleep for the first time in 20yrs. Any help would really be appreciated, if you can imagine not sleeping and being in severe pain, that brings tears to your eyes all day every day, you will understand why I try to get out of it every now and again, so I can recover. Thanks again guys and all the best to you all.

Welcome to bluelight, while I don't have a specific answer to your question, I'm very sorry to hear about all you've been through. I'd highly suggest asking over in the Pain Management Mega Thread. Lots of good people in there, that know what they're talking about, and have been through somewhat similar situations.

If you have any other questions about the site in general, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Bronson for taking the time to reply, will follow your lead and post in pain management thread, as I've looked all over site and can't seem to find advice on Hydromorphone Hydrochloride as Palladone Seems to be an uncommon drug. Thanks again
