Hello to ever reads this. I apologize ahead of time, as I am sure I am posting in the wrong place, but if you someone that has some real knowledge on this please let me know. To be brief I have had multiple surgeries due to multiple injuries sustained while in the Marine Corps. I was on opiate pain meds for a long time, and one day I just quit taking them, being ignorant as I was, I though I had to be abusing my meds to become addicted. Obviously within 2 days I was in bad shape, thought I had food poisoning or something, and went to the ER. It didn't take me long to figure it out though, and I started SUboxone maintenance. Did the 3 month program, tapered down, and finished! At the end of the of that three months I was done with no problems. Of course I eventually had to have another surgery, and afterwards went back on the bupe treatment, but that time it wasnt so easy to get off it. So my doctor being as ignorant as they were said they had this new drug that would help me get off of it no problem, I just had to make sure I quit anything 48 hrs before. Well the "miracle drug" was vivitrol and I was supposed to stop 10 days before. From about an hr after that shot thru the next week and 1/2 I experienced the most horrible time of my life. Since then I have been on Subutex, as it helps with my PTSD, and mostly with my pain. The problem is recently I hurt my knee again, and they decided to switch me back on pain meds for a lil bit. Well this week when I went to switch back to subutex, I apparently did it too soon because I went into some pretty bad PWs. The problem is that was three days ago, and am still not feeling back to normal on the subs. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience like this? Do I just keep taking the subs and eventually it will get back to normal, or do I go back on pain meds for a few days, and reinduct...I do not prefer the latter but I want to feel normal again. Please let me know. Thanks in advance to any that reply.
