In my mind. The choices are many, the consequences
I've read in a few places you can IV Zanaflex with a pleasant experience. Trouble is I never IV'd anything.
So for sake of HR and me not killin myself or endin up in the ER, could someone explain the process to me?
Do I just heat the pills on a spoon or do I add liquid? And what liquid? How much? Will it then be ready to inject? And will an insulin needle suffice?
I do know to soak up the liquid thru a cotton ball, small and tightly rounded, and not to touch the spoon with the needle.
Thanks guys!
I'vd read about it else where but I wanted to ask the pros so I don't kill myself or some shit like that.

please don't start using needles, and especially don't IV pills!!!!

IV zanaflex would not be worth the risks for just a muscle relaxant IMO

IVing is a big step, I would think very carefully about whether you want to do this or not. The risks are higher than for most other ROAs (apart from IM/subcutaneous) and once you cross the line many people find it hard to go back. To start IVing something like Zanaflex (tizanadine) really does not seem worth it at all, and I strongly advise you not to do it!

Read this thread: IV complications megathread
Then this one: Case studies megathread

In terms of HR, if you are going to do this there are some things you need to consider..

Firstly I don't believe Zanaflex is soluble in water, so you'd need a different solvent. I am not sure what, but already this is getting complicated..

Another consideration is that shooting pills is not a safe thing to do in general. I don't know anything about the effects of IVing Zanaflex so I have no idea if there is much benefit over safer ROAs, but you need to weigh up the risks vs the benefits carefully, and more often than not it is not worth it. As well as the standard IV risks discussed in the thread I linked you to, the fillers and binders and crap in pills are terrible things to end up in your veins - they can lodge in your lungs and cause an irreversible lung disease called talcosis/pneumoconiosis.

Always use a micron filter, as this filters out the fillers/binders and keeps things more sterile. Cottons or cigarette filters won't do. This is essential if you are shooting pills!

Micron filtering megathread - read this too!

Never heat pills, this increases the amount of crap dissolved in the shot..

Never use a syringe more than once. Insulin syringes are the most common kind used.

Be as sterile as possible - wash your hands, swab your skin, sterile water (although as I said I don't think water would work) - ideally bacteriostatic. Treat it like the invasive medical procedure it is...

I would really strongly advise you not to do this though Babygurl. Starting to IV is not something to be taken lightly, pretty much everyone I know who starts regrets it hugely, it's a risky business and there are specific issues with shooting pills and Zanaflex as I mentioned..

it's a REALLY good idea to steer clear of pins, honest, that's where the worst problems start. have you thought about crushing it, wrapping it in a cigarette paper and plugging it maybe?

Wow. Umm, maybe this is one of my spur of the moment things. Thank you bi-polar. I randomly do crazy shit without thinkin of the out comes. Really glad I asked you guys first. This sounds like one hell of a procedure :/
I'll wait a day or so to really decide if I wanna go down this road. I really don't wanna end up on H which I could see easily progressin to.
For now I just "ate" 12 mgs (3 x's 4 mgs). I read somewhere 10 mgs is nice so wth!
Thanks guys. I think this is a spur of the moment and not to be taken lightly.

zanaflex sounds like its better than it really is. the stuff is a total waste recreationally imo. plus the needle is a slippery slope. its not just an addiction, its a lifestyle. maybe try some more things before you plan on using a needle for anything. just my 2 cents

Babygurl, IVing is definitely not something to do on the spur of the moment. Not only is your choice of drug probably not going to be worth it at all, it isn't soluble in water, it is a pill so carries the extra risks I mentioned.. and IVing can be very hard to stop when you start. It's easy to develop a needle fetish too which makes it very difficult to stop.

Don't do it, and pls read all the threads I linked you to!

You really don't want a needle obsession, trust me!! Glad you'll do the reading, I cannot emphasise enough what a bad idea I think this would be!

using needles led me into the worst lifestyle possible , ruined my life , i lose everything (again) and then it nearly killed me because i kept using with a deadly infection (staph) needles are absolutely fucked up , once u go ull never turn back (for almost all) every says 'just once' , never happens bro . next is 'im not addicted' another load of bs . and yes something like injecting a pill , is definetly not for a first time user .

Boy, ain't that the truth. I've lost two cars and now have to sell my condo for all the $$ trouble I'm in. I can't get a job. Just from picking up a needle. Not everyone sinks as low as I did, obviously, but many do. As far as I'm concerned, I'm a junkie for life. Admittedly, I jumped right into IVing H. Didn't work up to it. Some people think it's cute or badass to shoot. If I could show you my arms, you'd see it's not. Typical junkie? Hardly. I'm 52, a mom and a grandma, and didn't pick up my lady heroin until about a year and a half ago (or maybe less). I hate wearing long sleeves in the summer.

Trust me, it can happen to anyone. Whatever you choose to do, be careful.
