Hey all, I'm wondering about the new Opana formula that has been out for a little bit (G74). The reason I want some opinions is due to the fact that these pills seem to be stronger than the original Opana (Not the TRF).

In fact, due to circumstances, I can only catch a buzz about once every ten days. But I'm wondering if it's due to my reduced usage or if these pills seem to have a little more kick to them. I know they hit me a lot faster and it's somewhat intimidating, since oxymorphone can be dangerous with the little bit of Xanax I take with them (I mean, no more than a bar for me and that's pushing it).

Anyhow, in the interest of harm reduction, has anyone noticed a difference in these? I know it's still 40 mg's of Opana (If you do the 40's or whatever mg you're getting), but these just seem to pack more of a punch. I wouldn't believe my tolerance would have dropped off that dramatically, not to mention I take subs on the regular when not using. I would still have dry spells even when I was using more. Thanks for the input BlueLighters!

It is probably your tolerance or some other physiological or mental aspect. The reason I say this is because we have pretty strict regulations in this country (you indicate you're from Kentucky). This means that they're pretty much limited to putting exactly the amount of opiate into the drug as it says on the box. If it says there are 40mg then there are 40mg. As near as I know, the opiate receptors in your brain are going to respond as they always do.

So, if my understanding is correct - and it may not be, then it leads me to guess that it is likely one of the three mentioned things at the start of this post. Unless this is a change from quite some time back (a couple of years ago) then I haven't tried the new stuff personally but chemical reactions are chemical reactions and what it says on the box is probably what it contains - within any amount we could possibly measure with home equipment.

Were it me, I'd look to tolerance and then to psychological reasons. I'd also not look a gift horse in the mouth. ;) If you're getting higher than it's always a bonus. I doubt, very much, that it would cause you to have an bad reaction because of it IF it is the same amount of the drug that you've been using and are used to using.

The formulation of the pills probably dissolves a little faster

The faster it hits you, the better and stronger it feels, which is why IV feels so good.

That's the only possible answer besides you're just imagining it
