Hi everyone! Good to be a part of this really great community. I've been reading this site for years and finally decided to get an account going and starting a meaningful conversation.
Anyway, for the past 25+ years, I have been pretty much addicted to opiates (IV heroin, hydromorph, etc). Yes, I've had some "clean" times away from it, but that was then, this is now.
I went to rehab a couple of summers ago and managed to live totally clean for about eight months, then I stated scoring #8's, then got in touch with my old H dealer...you all know how the story goes?
So, since about February of 2015, I've been daily using, and since about May 2015 I have been on MMT also. After knowing all of the details about going on/off methadone, the highest dose that I allowed myself to get up to was 65mgs...and that was about two months ago. I am currently down to 40mgs, but I do at least two or three points of junk per day.
Obviously, I have REALLY fucked my life up this time (I had an great opportunity to go back to college and get a Co-Op Placement that totally went downhill last week...yes, I was "fired" from it). I know that I have to stop using, and I was wondering what experiences anybody has had with Kratom? I am very soon going to be homeless (I moved in with my parents after rehab, and once they find out that I have been fired from my Placement, I am going to be out on the streets FOR SURE).
I am a 45 year old man and needless to say, I am VERY SCARED. I have to definitely stop using, so I can stay at men's shelter for a couple of months and hopefully find a job for the days to get back on my feet and get an apartment, etc.
I'm so sorry for going on and on...I accept my responsibility in all of this, so I am NOT looking for sympathy.
Can anyone give me some guidance on; how much Kratom would I need (approximately) to get off methadone and junk, and how much would I need to taper off of this? Any timelines also?
