New member looking for advice

I've been coming here for information for awhile now figured its time for me to join. Been using drugs for about 14 years now and I'm 27 years old. I've done many different substances. And been addicted to various ones throughout the years. Unfortunately now I'm addicted to opiates and it has been the hardest and most difficult to deal with. I go through withdraws daily as soon as I wake up. My tolerance is high and wasnt even able to get high taking medicine orally anymore. So I found a heroin dealer and now I've started iv'ing heroin and hydromorphone and I am now finally getting high again. I will be trying to quit soon as I have gotten myself in a big hole and also don't wish to go back to prison. I'm new to Iv and have been having trouble hitting my veins at times. But I've had some success after sticking myself like a pin cushion. I do have one question if anyone can help. If not I will create a thread in the proper place for this question. I found I can hit the veins in the crook of my arm easier if I stick it in fast. So I went to hit the main vein in the crook of my arm that I've used a few times and it has alittle bruising in that area. But I went to hit it anyway and I was in I registered started to inject slowly I stopped and registered again to make sure I was still good and was still getting blood so I continued then when I was at the last of it I notice my arm was swelling around that spot looked like I had missed and all wasnt getting to the vein. I registered again and still looked like I was in the vein I finished but it's swollen in the area so I don't think everything went straight in. I don't understand why though. I was going slow so I don't think I blew the vein. But I have tried hitting there before and have been missing which has caused some bruising. Does anyone know what could of happened. The amount was 3cc of fluid. The only syringe I have is a big 12cc syringe but with a small needle. Any comments is appreciated.
 
hi there if you are only 27 you should have some good veins in your feet plus you can use two hands to guide the pin propperly. Good luck with it as you are on a road to nowhere
 
Welcome aboard ! Be careful shooting the same spot in your arm.I used to do that and it got bad and bruised and sore. Move on to other veins if you must. I got on methadone so I haven't used a needle in 20 some years but I do remember missing and having trouble finding good veins. I'm not judging you but ,I hope you can stop this and get clean...Andy
 
Yes thank you for the info. I was hurting so bad today. My allergies was out of control because of WDs I kept sneezing until I threw up. I had cold sweats and was shaking. By the time I finally got some dope I couldn't hit a vein I kept pushing through in different spots and eventually the content in my syringe was bloody with a red tint I was worried my syringe was gonna clog up and I was still hurting so bad I decided just to INtramuscular inject it. Took the sickness away but didnt get high.

This is your ex. I guess you figured I wouldn't find out about your drug use. However, I'm not stupid and I'm beyond disgusted. I told you from the beginning that I didn't want drug in my life and that if you were on any leave me alone. You dated me knowing you were on drugs and I found out so I quit speaking to you entirely. I hate the person you became which was unfortunate because I was in love with you. I did wonder though for a while if I was wrong and you weren't really using. Now I know I made the right decision and I and my son are better off without you. By the way, thanks for stealing pills from my house. All three bottles. I'm disgusted and hurt but I know you don't care because you're just an addict. You're just like my son's bio dad. I hope you get help but I'm disgusted. You could've used a dirty needle and given me something! I don't understand how you could put me through this again. But addicts don't care how much they hurt people do they? You sure don't. I won't be back on this site again. I just wanted to let you know why I cut you out from our lives and that you weren't very good at hiding your drug addiction. I hope you seek help before you OD. Which is in sure what happened Labor Day weekend when you had a seizure. I'm beyond disgusted and hurt and angry and disappointed. Youre not even considering your family. I am now with someone new and I'm happy and he is drug free. You didn't deserve me and you should've been honest. Goodbye.

Regardless..Welcome to bluelight. May you find the help you are in need of. There is a lot of support here, from all walks of life and stages of addiction. You're in good hands..
