Mental Health New Member in CA Just Trying to Get Some Sleep

I'm guessing that you have already tried medical marijuana and that does not work for you? My husband and I both have terrible insomnia normally but we have been making indica edibles, eating about 20 minutes before we would naturally feel tired and ready for sleep and it works every night. In California you can go to a legal clinic and get edibles that are specifically for sleep--just be sure to try a lower dose than they recommend for the first time until you see what your tolerance is.

i would certainly not advise marijuana to an anxies person dealing with stress and insomnia. Marijuna may get you sleepy, but the overall quality of sleep will decrease and cause more anxiety or even depression.

Ugh... That's too bad. Good luck with the melatonin. When I first started trying prescription remedies, I stopped taking melatonin, but now I'm taking it along with the prescription pills, and I do think the combination helps.

Good luck tonight!

ended up not taking the melatonin and only try the 22.5 mgs.
I was sooo tired.. went to sleep around 20.45 but woke up allready at 23.30, took an additional 7.5 and had a great sleep until the alarm clock at 06.00.
Makes me wonder if i should just try 7.5 at night, wich im gonna do tonight, i have plenty of time to avaluate the different dosages.
Perhaps there really is some thruth to the less the better concerning mirtazapine.

ps. i was wondering apart from your mother being sick (how is she by the way?) are you diagnosed with any type of disorder like ad(h)d or autism? Because the racing thoughts sound quite familiar for me as a person with add and gad.
The fact you allready had it as a kid could be a sign there is something going on, or is it all due to the fact you worry about your mother so much?

That's great that you had a better night of sleep. Congrats!

I've just always been a bad sleeper. I was never diagnosed with anything else... I've had doctors tell me that I just have a very active mind. My mom is doing okay (thanks!), but she had a tough cancer. I think her situation just made it even harder for me to sleep...
