So, honestly I just made this account for myself on the site, to ask a question, without causing any attention drawing to me, or my boyfriend, or lead us to get into any sort of questioning or trouble with any type of law enforcement officers. I posted a thread in the wiki? I think it was called, about shooting sprite into your veins, please if you know anything about something like that, give feedback. This is just a desperate cry for help from myself in the only place I saw logical, or helpful.

Yes, sadly it is a serious question. It was accidentally, of course. He thought it was water, that he was using to break down, and draw up a 30 mg morphine pill with, he filled the syringe, a full 100 units, with a shot mixed of sprite and morphine, it looked too clear, I noticed after he drew it up, like it was really watery. And it was very hard to plunge and push it through, but he forced it, not knowing why he was having trouble, because that had never happened before. Then as he cleaned the syringe, he quirted the rinse in his mouth and tasted the citric syrup, realizing he shot soda into his veins and started freaking out. He was drunk when he did this.. and there was no way he could have known by the way he did things until after. It wasn't exactly sprite, it was an off brand lemon lime soda. Completely clear liquid. He complained of his arm burning, his head hurting, his chest hurting, difficulty breathing, losing temporary hearing in one ear, feeling sick, I searched all over the internet trying to find an at home solution, or remedy, and what the repercussions were, or damage it would do to his body- all I found was a few things saying the syrup would do something, that went to his brain, and something stops working and death, or air bubbles, something with the brain, and death. The only solution or suggestion I could find telling what to do next, was to shoot water repeatedly into your veins to try and push it out, or flush it, and he said the only way to really push it out of his veins was to push something other than just water, so he drew up part of another morphine 30, with a lot of water and shot that in his veins. After that, he claimed to feel a lot better.. but his head still hurt, and he still didn't feel good. He's been sleeping off and on, the last few hours, I am monitoring him, and his breathing, to make sure he's okay. Any suggestions? Anyone ever done anything similar, or heard of/saw someone else..?

And really, what can the ER do?
once you put something in your veins, they can't just take it out.. and it's drug related, and neither of us would perfer to go, because of that. Avoiding blacklisting at the hospital, plus he has no health insurance and in major debt already, and we want to avoid all law enforcement officers, and questioning.

Of course, but he seems to feel alright now, and I guess if he says he feels better, all I can do is take his word for it, its his body, I have no idea how he feels physically.

good, hopefully the soda will be out if his bloodstream soon (lol never thought I'd write something like that) and now he's got a lesson learnt: don't do anything that requires maximum attention like shooting up while you're clearly intoxicated :)

For sure, I was shocked, he has never messed up while shooting anything up, he has done it for quite a few years, and then this happens. Hopefully, it never happens again. o will definitely be paying closer attention from now on.

I have known people to use Gatorade and one really desperate person used coffee. Chances are he's fine and doing it once isn't going to kill you but obviously syrup cant be good for his veins, but is it much different than shooting pills in your veins everyday? Definitely should worry about the damage that's gonna do.

I used coffee once... wasn't the brightest idea, but it didn't do me any harm. Like I said, I only did it once...

Hope everything works out okay.

Were going to have to close this because we don't allow emergency type threads on BL

its been a few days since you posted, so hopefully "no news is good news".

Stay safe :)
