Hey guys! Trying to get the hang of BL so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Stephanie, age 29, and I'm from Georgia, a real southern belle ;-)! I became addicted to prescription pain medication at the age of 21. I had horrendous labor with my first child, 6 failed attempts at an epidural along with other complications left my back and neck pretty messed up. My condition has seemed to have only deteriorated from there. I have now been on MMT for 6 years, and I'm nowhere near proud of it :(, but it's part of my story. It was a lifesaver at first, as many MMT patients will tell you. No more searching, withdrawling, etc. I worked the program very well and now am on phase 5(I only have to attend twice a month and do group sessions via homework once per month.) I have off and on abused my meds, and have often been a hardcore potentiator. Wow, writing about this stuff is harder than I thought it'd be. I have 2 beautiful girls aged 10 and 5, and just want to keep up with them and take care of them...more than anything. I'm married, 12 years in March. My addiction has definitely been a strain on our relationship. I hate it. I am also in nursing school, studying to be an RN, I can happily and honestly say I've NEVER commited a criminal act (i.e stealing meds) while in the nursing program...something I'm really proud of. Enough about me for now, have questions? I'm an open book.

Hey Stephanie, welcome! :)
Thanks for sharing..

Okay I have questions...

What's your favourite and least favourite thing about Georgia?

Why did you decide to go for nursing school?

Aaand.. bonus question, would you rather.. be forced at gunpoint to eat a hundred chocolate bars, or, be kicked in the face by a horse? :)

Hi, Welcome aboard. Congrats on reaching phase 5. I'm an x opiate addict myself....

Glad you're here. I hope Blueilght will be very helpful.

Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions.

Smoky

Btw - We have some methadone and opiate mega-threads if interested -- just do a search. I have found the majority of folks joining Bluelight (I could be wrong, just my experience), join with opiate dependency issues. :)
