New-ish in Chicago and on BL. Help me out a bit?

I'm new-ish to the city. I know maybe 2 people so far and due to the freezing cold and lack of friends nearby I'm starting to feel like a hermit.

So what's the deal with the scene here? I mean I've been blindly exploring different places and so far all I've come across are hipsters and more hipsters. And everyone I meet seems like weed is the extent of their 'usage' and they're all crazy judgemental about anything more than that soooo I keep my mouth shut and go home because I'd rather meet people who would be more accepting to my choices. Obviously I'm hitting up the wrong spots for finding people like myself. Any clubs bars or good spots for meeting more 'open' types of people than can get down. Not trying to source or anything just new in town and new to BL and want to make some friends that I can be myself around you know?

I live in the south loop I'm 21 and I'm bored

I like the rave scene and equally love going to dive bars and metal shows. So I feel like meeting people shouldn't be as complicated as it's been so far

I think you posted the wrong number. I called it and it was a police station and they didn't know a new phone Capone ? What gives?
 
go to an EDM event in town, if you're into that kinda thing. You'll meet some cool people there, i can promise you that, unless you're a cop. nitevision i think you mean 26th and California, that spot is going on.
 
*eyeroll* I didn't ask for spots I could score, Jesus Christ calm down. I was honestly just asking for places to go to meet decent people because I'm new in the city. Only places I've really gone are like rush street and other places more in the Lincoln park area and the crowds there were just really awful and I felt super out of place.

As far as an edm event (thank you for actually giving me an answer of sorts) I would love to find something to go to however I don't have unlimited funds to work with so I've been looking at some of the upcoming events and a lot of them look cool but some are pretty pricey although there's a paint party coming up in like a week that looked kinda awesome.

I'm super shy and people in general freak me out so I've just been nervous about just getting out there and exploring. I've been trying to find shit on Facebook and haven't had any luck yet.

Also, in regards to being a damn cop. I really want to be able to use this site and get to know people. It's honestly taken me a long time of reading the threads and shit before I worked up the courage to actually finally register and try and start talking to people. I understand where you're coming from but I'd also rather it not continue. If anyone wants to PM me I will give you my FB info and you're welcome to add me and THEN judge me from there.

Just trying (very unsuccessfully) to make friends despite being extremely socially awkward.. :\
 
lol EDM scene is not gonna help you find out the harder shit like dope or crack if thats what your wanting. Ive never been to chi-town and i promise i could score within 30 minutes of getting there just by reading BL. come on now

i'd help ya more if i could but honestly just do plenty of reading you'll see the regulars on here and listen to that advice over someone with 20 posts asking how to shoot up in their cock.

I'm not trying to score babe I'm asking a legit question about just finding ppl to click with. When it comes to getting shit that I need however I am fully capable and taken care of on that level for the time being. I just have yet to meet a single halfway decent or tolerable human being since I moved into the city.
