Hello Everyone,
I'm a new memeber but I have to admit I have lurked in the background for quite some time now. Been dealing with back pain for 16 years and after 3 surgeries my medicine cabinet is still chock full of prescription bottles that don't really do much. Lately I am dealing with the reformulation of opana. I understand the "logic" behimd why they do what they do but, honestly, if someone wants to get high they will just move onto a new drug. All it really does is screw those of us that need it to get out of bed in the morning. I'm not sure why I can't seem to get the same relief from the new formula. The doc has already uped my dose but its still not helping :( I'd be happy to listen to any suggestions. Anyway, looking forward to making a new support system and new friends ...I hope :-)

Hi Victory Pill,
I agree about the foolishness of messing with formulas; people will get what they want from the street, or from some other drug, so why mess with a formula that works for many?I have struggled with back pain for years myself, and have used hydrocodone for the past four years, with moderate success, and no addiction problems so far. But the bad news is, there do not appear to be any "magic" cures. This was a devastating realization for me, because I have always been active. For me, medication, chiropractic, stretching, and nutrition all help, but only to a degree. :\The only way I can effectively deal with the pain is to do the physical things that have always given me joy, even if I need to do them in extremely modified ways. That boosts my mental state enough to deal with what the medication and other therapies cannot. It keeps me positive, and looking forward to each new day, so the pain does not overwhelm me.
